We have 11 Bowl spots to fill, meaning that only 3 teams SHOULD be staying home for the holidays.

These 7 teams should be locks to be bowl eligible:

Bama
LSU
UGA
Florida
Tennessee
South Carolina
Miss St

These teams still have work to do. 4 would need to be eligible to fill all of our spots. I only see 2 or 3 getting there:

Arkansas (will likely get there, but it depends on how many games they lose until Wilson returns)
Auburn (huge hole to climb out of now)
Kentucky (nope)
Missouri (Arizona St this weekend is huge)
Ole Miss (good start, but can the rebs keep it up)
Texas A&M (they play 2 FCS schools so need 7 wins)
Vandy (have never rebounded from an 0-2 start to get 6 wins)

Yeah, I know I'm looking way ahead. One of my favorite parts of the season is building the best bowl resume you can.

4 nonconference wins + Arkansas without Tyler Wilson + Ole Miss + Auburn = 7 wins. Missouri (without 3 offensive linemen) might make 8.

win the 4 non-con games and then only 2 conference games, right?

Mizzou won't win the East but damn. I suppose it's possible but I question your knowledge of college football.

Not saying I think it will happen, but in a worse case scenario.... Losses to Az St, Carolina, Bama, Florida, Tennessee. (Texas A&M, Syracuse, and even @UCF aren't gimmes). Just sayin.

Missouri will make it I believe. Surely 1 of auburn/arky will win 6 games right? I'm not sure about A&M...they looked good to me, and I think they beat auburn/arky/ole miss in the West..will be toss-up with Miss State.

So, I have Missouri and A&M in.....and either arky or auburn at 6-6. Probably one short.

I'm going to go out on a limb and say Missouri and aTm will win at least 6-8 games. So I see:

LSU
Alabama
UGA
Florida
Miss St.
Missouri
aTm
Vandy
UT
USCe
Auburn, Ole Miss, Kentucky, Arkansas on the bubble. After this weekend anyway lots of football still to play. If Wilson comes back Arky can win 8 games. Aubie you guys do not look very good and I'm not trying to flame.

Agreed! 6 wins and a bowl trip would be overachieving at this point!

A&M can still get in at 6-6 unless there are too many 7 win teams. In '10 tu almost got a bowl at 5-7 because there was a chance there wasn't enough 6-6 teams.

I say kentucky, vandy, and ole miss will be home during bowl season. Everyone else should qualify for a bowl.

We have a tendency to jump to conclusions with haste. You haven't learned that by now?
