If you expected him to win 9-11 games in his first few years than you were high as hell.

he had 5 years. 5. not one or two. you get fired anywhere else in the SEC unless you're UK or Vandy, etc.

And he took over a program pretty similar to where UT was when Dooley stepped in.

2. if he delivers sub-par performance this fall he's gone. there are some people already calling for his head but they're retards.

So your threshold is 2 years, but Dooley gets 3?

You clearly said after 1-2 years a coach would get fired.

I assumed which number you were referring to and was wrong. I'll give you that. But we pretty much were Kentucky or Ole Miss when spurrier got here. We aren't now. That's what matters. Progress.

Plus if you fire Steve Spurrie, who in their right mind would want to coach here?

South Carolina wasn't exactly a football powerhouse when Spurrier took over there...

Knock Spurrier if it pleases you but remember he walked away from Washington and left the money on the table. He could have just stayed until he got fired and collected a bunch, most coaches do. He went like something like 8-l6 twice which is exactly what Parcells and Joe Gibbs did either the same year or the next year. Spurrier has many quotes but the one I like best is "Winners admire other winners, Losers resent winners"

Lots of Spurrier haters on here... and lots of people who don't like seeing us come from the back of the pack to have some success. Might as well get used to it.
