Sorta.
Texas has 1 football title since 1970. LSU has won all of its titles except 1 since 2003. Baseball is pretty much the same. Very similar basketball results over the years. So, yeah, great in different eras, but similar results.

Of all the fan bases in the SEC, LSU’s seems the coolest.

Obviously biased, I would agree, but Auburn has always been cool and living in Texas the last 30 years, Aggies are good people. I wouldn't say "cool" but solidly decent upstanding citizens that make great neighbors.

From my away game experiences, this is true for pretty much all fan bases except Florida fans. They were really terrible both times. I have not been to A&M, Missouri, or S. Carolina though.

There's outliers in both fanbases. But as a whole Texas and LSU fans are similar. But the bad apples in both fan bases give us good fans a bad name.

Same 30 years for me, too, and I can't disagree with you. But I will add that the more Aggies you add to a group the weirder it gets, exponentially so.
As far as TX, mostly douchebags. And their tailgates are lame. Hot chicks though.
