solid hire. Good move for SEC. Stockpiling talent and coaching.

So as it stands right now, every coach in the SEC has been to the NCAA tournament and won games before. Excluding Mizzou and Alabama for the moment

But he also hired Rick Ray

I can remember that Rick Ray was considered a good hire for State. Everyone from Gary Parrish to Jeff Goodman said it was a solid hire. But I digress. This is a home run. Congrats State.

Talking to him probably wouldn't have gotten you very far any way.

Well we won't ever know. We choose to go in a different direction. I just hope we don't have to settle for a lower tier coach.

Because Bama doesn't get someone means they went another direction? This isn't football.

Home run hire and the staff he is reportedly putting together is going to be something else.

Did Bama approach him? If not, they went a different direction. Not sure what's hard to understand about that.

Relax my friend. No one is slighting you or your team. We didn't pursue Howland. At least to my knowledge.

Is the Indiana job opening up? I haven't really kept up with that.

Crean has a massive buyout. Speculation is that he wants out, but IU doesn't want to pay him.

I think you guys will end up with Smart or Prohm.

It just seems like Marshall could almost go wherever he wanted. Maybe he will leave for Alabama, I would be pretty surprised though.

I don't think we are getting Marshall. I'd be happy with Smart but Im not sure that will happen either. Prohm would be ok, but I really want Miller.
