During the same day that Tennessee last beat Alabama in football, Justin Verlander started in the World Series as a 23-year-old rookie. He's now a grizzled 37 year old veteran on the verge of retirement. Of course that's not quite as cool of a factoid as "Iphone didn't exist" but it just shows you how long it's been.
