It is fair to ask oneself how many points Georgia would have beaten Alabama by in the National Championship if George Pickens hadn’t run 6 less WR routes in that game than Jameson Williams did.

Bama has won the Natty after losing the SEC game. Georgia fans are just taking the bait this off-season.

I am more interested in seeing Georgia make a title defense (outside the first game, of course).

lost both starting wrs and both starting corners

Sucks bama is the only team that has to deal with injuries. Hopefully one day bama can recruit well enough to get some depth.

They won the natty after not even playing the SEC game…..twice.

They did get lucky to face a very depleted uga team in 2017.

They got lucky again to face a depleted uga team in 2021. Different result though.

Depth is a different topic. from having so many key starters injured. Bama was unlucky and Georgia was the beneficiary of it.

No, you beat a different team. The team you barely beat had its best players injured.

I don't know how long you've been involved with sports, whether watching or playing, but injuries are a part of any game. Bama had injuries, UGA had injuries. You play with what you have. 3 of UGA's 4 NC TDs were scored by FRESHMEN. You think those freshmen would be starting if we didn't have injured upper-classmen along the way. Our QB was a walkon , who was our starting QB because our first string QB was.........you guessed it, INJURED. And your starting QB was a Heisman Tropy winner who threw a pick six to a FRESHMAN. All of this while we spotted Bama a TD on a phantom turnover deep in our own territory.

Excuses make you look like poor losers. I believe those receivers were on the field when you lost to aTm and when you should have lost to lowly Auburn. So STFU with the excuses. You lost to a better team. Get over it.

Bama had 7 starters out with injuries by the end of the game, 8 if you count a punt returner. Georgia had 2.
You had your starting wrs for the NC game regardless of who scored.
The walk-on was the starting QB since JTD was healthy according to your own sites.
He is the one who transferred after the walk-on announced he was coming back.
When Bama and Georgia were pretty even injury-wise Bama blew Georgia out. When Bama had 7 starters injured and Georgia had 2 Georgia the game came down to the final drive.

It’s not though. UGA’s freshman WR’s made plays, while Bama’s did not. Hall and Brooks were both more highly rated than Mitchell and Bowers.

True. But, we are discussing why you kicked Bama's arse in the 4th quarter, scored more points, and how it likely would have been different with Bama's players not being injured.

If you had a bunch out Kirby wouldn't have said you were healthier than you had been in a long time(regarding the NC game).

Like a starting DB, OL, WR, and OLB? For some reason Smart developed the backups while Saban didn’t. Again, hall and brooks were more highly rated than Mitchell and Bowers. Why weren’t they able to have the same impact?

Are we pretending UGA was healthy in the SECC? Must be tough for bama being the only team that ever had a player get injured…

What Kirby said or didn’t say is irrelevant. You have to Be a total idiot to not understand the concept of coach speak, especially after being educated about it.
