re: It wouldn’t be a Nate Oata loss without him placing the blame solely on his players

It means he was being very ball centric without creating opportunities for his teammates within the offense or off the dribble penetration.
How far out Auburn forced them to get into their sets played a big role in that. That Auburn defense dictated what the bama offense was going to do pretty much the entire game, Oats didn't have a whole lot of answers.
The rematch, and adjustments from both teams, will be an interesting watch in a few weeks.

Once Philon became the primary offense initiator we were much better. He was able to get penetration and get the offense in motion. That is, until Mark decided to catch secondary passes and go into isolation, once again completely bogging down the offense and ending in bad shots. My guess is our PPP with Philon bringing the ball up was probably at least 0.3-4 higher than when Mark (or Aden) were.
Mark was a problem yesterday as the primary ball handler (not the first time) and for the first time became a problem even when moved off ball because of his decision making. Not sure what the solution is other than removing him from games in those situations. The last 5 minutes he was nothing short of a complete disaster.
Also the OP's video were comments that Nate made during the week to a question about turnovers in general. Mark and Grant were averaging something like 11 turnovers a game combined the previous 3 games.

Can you see how many minutes Philon and Sears had together in that game?

In large part it was a reflection of the willingness of the officials to allow bodying and grabbing off the screens which is the primary trigger for the Oats offense.
Sears is too small to get off shots with that type of perimeter bodying and struggled to get around the elite defenders AU had on him where the officials were actually calling fouls once you got a step on the defender.
It’s why Philon came in and Bama started having success because he was a step quicker and kept getting fouled on dribble drives.
This has been an issue for him for years and I think with ACC or tournament officials he would’ve had a completely different day, but the SEC allows more contact consistently than any other conference for some reason which is why so many games devolve into slug matches in the 60s against teams like Tennessee.

I'm sure it's somewhere but they played together most of the last 12 minutes. For whatever reason Mark decided at the 5 minute mark once the game was tied that it was time to re-initiate bumper butt drive to the rim and throw it up at a giant ball. Generally that happens off initial screens at the top, but this time he was doing it after Philon rejected initial screens and threw to the wing. Prior to that, we'd been able to get into our action and get both he and Youngblood good catch and shoot looks after Philon used the high screen.
Really struggled to understand why after 2 of those possessions Oats didn't yank him. My guess is by that point we were down 6+ pts and we needed him on the floor to take catch and shoot 3s. But it's been a recurring issue this year with Mark, and at some point it moves from in his own head about needing to be the guy to help the team to a level of selfishness in needing to be the guy for himself.

I’m not going to address your comments about Mark Sears as you are clearly racist, jealous, both, or all three of the above.
Nate likes to preemptively blame his players, which was clearly successful and your dumbass fell for it.
