Now that we have seen the full depths of Ole Miss’s punishment, and we watch as they gave up on a real coaching search resigned to their fate, I can’t help but wonder how history will treat this whole story.

Will it’s be known as a rebellion at the end of the NCAA era that showed cracks in the wall, or will future discussions of Harbaugh picking their bones like a buzzard be a cautionary tale for programs that break the rules?

It was.

Even if we go winless over the next 5 years, I would do it all over again.

They could shut down the football program forever and some would still try to convince themselves it was worth it.

The Death Penalty is literally the only thing that would make me say it wasn't worth it.

Why is your 'team' UGA now. I'm confused.

Still the best avatar on tRant.

Banning Ole Miss from meaningful post season play is like banning Michael Moore from Planet Fitness.

It was worth it? for a couple of wins against Bama?

That's about all y'all accomplished. Sylvester Croom probably could have done that w/o getting on probation.

No probably about it. Croom beat Bama twice, once with Shula once with Saban and didn't put MSU on probation. Of course he also lost to Maine and to Auburn 3-2.

This may be the most ole miss sentence ever

Willing to suffer the worst stretch in CFB history to win one meaningless bowl game

He said "I am sorry for something" and has apparently been taken back in by the brethren. Some chuckleheads are even throwing his name out there to replace Canada.

He is a turrible human being.

You may have a point. I mean, he did finally get Ole Miss to Atlanta. Oh, wait...
