Not sure who would disagree that standards are higher now. Back in the early to mid 90s UGA was pretty damn easy to get into. With the advent of the HOPE scholarship things have changed obviously. It is ridiculously hard to get into UGA now if you're a normal white male in GA at a large high school. I think I was in juuuuust about the last incoming class that could get in with "normal" stats.

I totally agree. KSU is a lot harder to get into than it was 20 years ago too. All of the GA schools are.
I'm simply calling out a clearly young and immature poster who claims every AU grad was turned-down by UGA. Most of the HS kids I know going to Auburn from GA are a legacy.

Just one way some of our posters try to troll Auburn people. Never understood it personally. I would be willing to bet that Georgia has some students who were turned down by Auburn.

I don't know all the detailed requirements for auburn and uga, but I do know that majority of the students from my highschool that got rejected from UGA went to AU.

We all can't be Vandy. But it is fact that it is harder to get into UGA than other conference schools. Supply and demand should be easy for the rant to understand. Increase the demand for UGA with a constant supply, and UGA admissions are going to be very selective.

I see Auburn is still smarting from that SECC thrashing. We are supposed to feel horrible because we didn't win in equestrian? Too funny! Thank God for AU fans. They certainly give us a lot of amusement and can always be counted on for a good belly laugh. We all need more laughs and Auburn is always there to supply them.

The funny part is that Alabama was even easier to get into than UGA in the early 90s and hasn't gotten a lot harder.
UGA has a better vet program, IMO.

Hardly, UGA has one of the top vet schools in the country. Hate to tell you this Bama, but AU is no slouch in the vet program area either. True, it's their only claim to fame in higher education but they do have a quality vet school
