I meant the talent level should have prevented a loss to Kentucky.

Lane underachieved with that team.

Yeah but only 1 year in the system, which means they are getting new everything. Nobody around to show this is how this is done etc.

It's like when a school hired a new coordinator in the past, and then everyone would either have to learn a new system, or the coordinator had to adjust to the program/system. Now most everyone has to learn a new system regardless.

We'll find out, but it doesn't seem to be a recipe for success to me.

It's worked well for him so far

Did you have a stroke and forget Austin Simmons backshots against y’all?

That was a typical WAOM moment but there really wasn't a talent gap.

Ole piss has so many banners in that stadium... I doubt they can spare the room.

They will make room.

Even the biggest Ole Miss fan will admit that the Manning family is bigger than the university itself. They will give them their due.

By your BK excuse making standards. The discussion is about taking Ole Miss to the next level.

Typically making the playoffs is easier than making it to Atlanta, and with the 12 team playoff I figure that's not going to change.

My standard is winning games.

Anyone who thinks Lane Kiffin can win an SEC championship is a complete and utter moron.

Remind us how many "Big Game" Kelly has won?

My standard is winning National Championships, and this is a discussion about Ole Miss doing more than winning games.

I didn't start the topic and nothing in my opinion was unrealistic.

I think it's unrealistic to expect Ole Miss to compete for a national championship, probably not so much to make it to Atlanta.

The portal works for him, odd to knock it when he's winning at such a high clip at a historically hard place to do so.

For a team to make it to Atlanta without divisions, they will probably have to be a team that is a national contender. It's easier to make it to the playoffs than to make it to Atlanta. If you make it to Atlanta, you're in the top8, probably top5.

And the reasons why I don't think Ole Miss will make it there is because I don't think portal fishing is ultimately the best strategy long term. I think ultimately the teams that are going to have big success are the ones that recruit well and manage to keep the players there for their years, while using the portal to fill in holes.

It's not complicated and I don't know what your issue is. We'll see how he does this year, I expect it to look a lot like last year.
