If Bama only counted the titles that everyone gives them credit for, they'd still have three times as many as LSU. That's all you need to know.

What that says to me is you have zero interest in hearing an opinion that differs from yours and second you realize that's the case you write it off entirely and start hurling insults, no matter what it says.

Someone made a good point about ND and USC claiming titles in the same fashion and saying I should include them in this argument as well. You're absolutely right and they should. The difference is they don't wear it on their sleeves like Bama does.
Bama fans change their screen name to "14andcounting", try and make it trend on twitter, post is constantly everywhere every chance they get. And as far as I know, USC and ND don't to that degree.
You can say all the butt hurt things about me you want. It doesn't change the fact that "14 and counting" is a big lie and most everyone knows that.

When you have more titles than anyone else, you tend to bring that up.
When you think your team is the best, but there's another team out there with more titles, you tend to find other criteria.

But you said it as if Bama fans claim titles all willy-nilly like, so why not just add another. The truth is we claim the titles our school claims, that's it, period, end of discussion.
And saying you would tell any LSU fan who claimed 5 titles, instead of 3, to STFU is kinda stupid. The LSU school administration doesn't claim 5 titles so why would any LSU fan ever do that? It's not like you are complaining about Bama fans who claim more titles than the school itself does.

How the hell could you possibly know that? I guarantee you if you go over to a Notre Dame or a USC message board and tell them that a number of their national titles that their school claims are illegitimate, they will attack you tooth and nail and defend those titles just as we defend ours.
The only reason you don't see them wearing those titles on their sleeve is because hardly any of them post here, not to mention the fact that those fan bases are thousands of miles away from the South.

And in the not so distant future, after a playoff is established, and the BCS era seems like ancient history, there'll be fans just like you claiming that the BSC championships Bama won don't count.
Just because the way we do it now is different than the way they did it then, doesn't make it any less legitimate...well except 1941. :)
