Mark Ingram, 30 yards, Iron Bowl.
Big difference is that Alabama won the game of course. Ingram didn't fail his team in a losing effort. He did suck like Fournette in that game though.

Any arse hat with a brain can use logic when "disputing" who the better back is out of LF and Henry.

Hey I didn't I? Just messing pride.
This whole thing began with an LSU fan asking for a case of Henry over Fournette. No Alabama fan here thinks Henry will win or should win. Hell, I wish we could return the one we have.

After seeing the above info,
Please. Someone make a case for Henry over Leonard.

Well that threw a wrench in their logic. I can't wait to hear the responses.

not making excuses, he admittedly was terrible in the game, but worth pointing out that Ingram took a significant knock in that game. medical staff famously working on his hip on the final comeback drive while Ingram pouted and cbs kept cutting to him. he wasn't 100%.
josh Bynes was a damn beast that day for the barn. very impressive. I was there.

No Alabama fan here thinks Henry will win or should win.

horrible O line
So was the O-line horrible for all of his games, or just the one game vs Bama? Just wondering because I don't remember anybody bitching about the O-line all year and then suddenly they're awful.

I think the bigger difference is the way he took advantage of the opportunity in the SEC championship game. If the Iron Bowl had been their last game, I am not sure he would have won.

Come now, "tore it up" is a bit much. 15 carries for 51 yards and a long of 7 yards. He was a bit more productive sure, but he was contained as well.

For some reason, Ingram didn't do very well in any of the 3 Iron Bowls he played in.
And I have no problem admitting he didn't really deserve the Heisman in 09.

this. absolutely this. which is the point I think lsu fans are discounting. shallow as it may be, heisman voters are obsessed with "heisman moments."

The last 3 weeks L5u fans have been telling us how they have the best oline in the sec, better qb, better wrs, good defense. Now they want to throw every part of their team under the bus so that they can change the argument on why boogers is so good. Shameful pathetic fans.

quote:So what happens when Bama loses to state and then LF clinches us the west with a 275 yard game against A&M? Will the "fear" and "shitting his pants" theory be out? Why didnt he "fear" and "shite his pants" against UF? Look, I agree with your notion that big games and Heisman moments matter to the voters. But your cliche' lines of "fear" and "shitting his pants" are media fodder and trolling.

I think he deserved it. What I'll admit is that it was a weak year and the majority of years his performance wouldn't have won it. For 2009 I think he deserved it.
