They guy won a national championship at hillbilly Tennessee where they're lucky to win 6 games now so I think he'll be alright

Hatred? C’mon... how can you hate Jerry Lee Lewis? You can be embarrassed by his out of the park life style... you can be ashamed of him marrying his 13 year old cousin, and bragging about to the British press, and saying that it happens all the time in Tennessee...
...you can be disgusted at the jelopy-driving moon-shining, feuding folkways of the denizens, and you can be horrified by the appearance and drooling actions of the inhabitants you encounter if you have to get off interstate 59 or 65 (advice- fill up with gas before you get to the Tennessee border, and haul arse across to a State on the other side).
It is true that Tennessee is bordered by eight States, all of whom allegedly “hate” Tennessee. But really...hatred? God has told us to take pity, turn the other cheek, be a Samaritan... but then again there is indeed true unmitigated evil in the universe so...

When the Haslams refused to ok Fulmer as the new AD in Feb. 2017, Phil organized a group of wealthy donors to sabotage the new AD when he went to hire a new HC after the 2017 season. The Haslams wanted to hire Schiano and the opponents sabotaged that hire and pushed the Chancellor to fire the AD and hire Fulmer.

The best thing to happen to UT long term is getting rid of Fulmer
