Is Tua the most overrated QB since Stefan LeFors?

Tua has 1,161 yards this year. Not bad.
But don't let that number fool you.
Of those 1,161 yards, 637 yards have come on WR YAC. That's right around 54.8% of his passing yards coming on WR YAC.
This leaves 45.2% of his yards coming from his passing ability. This is 102nd among FBS QBs. Not good.
Couple this with the fact that the average defense he's faced through 5 games is 94th according to ESPN's FPI defensive efficiency rankings.
Good WRs. Game manager at QB.
For those wondering: Joe Burrow has passed for 1,023 yards with 395 coming off of WR YAC. (38.6% from WR YAC)

So you are saying Bama receivers are better at breaking tackles and pulling away from defenders.

Time will tell.
As of now, Tua is light years ahead of Burrow.
Why? He has a natty.

Tua has played like 6 quarters.

Tua puts games away in 2 quarters. Burro is in 4th quarter dogfights with La Tech

Why are we using Stefan LeFors as a benchmark
Tua is no John Navarre though.

A Bama fan yesterday said Calvin Ridley wouldn't play for y'all this year. So let's go with the WR thing

We won't know til he starts against a defense with a pulse. If he looks average against them then he is very overrated by the Bama fans hype.

I cant support this thread.

If only there was a stat that took into account everything about playing qb, from rushing yards and strength of the opponents defenses

It's ironic because we could very possibly show everyone how to shut it down. Then yall could do the same when yall play Bama a couple of weeks later.

Does it devalue YAC though?

Tua sucks. LSU should just focus on Bama's running game.
