Also the reason they pushed out Shaka and got Beard…

Barnes built Texas into a consistent NCAA tournament team, but looking back at all the talent he had there, there was a startling lack of deep runs.

I couldn't help but laugh at folks that thought UT was going to win the nc. Barnes is a master choker.

Regular season Rick got bounced in the Round of 32 with Kevin Durant… Great guy, really good coach, but for one reason or the other he seems to fall on his face in the tournament

Just for reference--

I think Regular Season Rick Barnes now holds the career record for losses to double digit seeds--
Michigan (11), Oregon State (12), Loyola-Chicago (11), Purdue (10), Temple (11), and Western Michigan (11)

I think there are more paths towards being a successful regular season coach that don't translate well to making deep runs in one-off tourney games in March.
