You guys won't even make the playoff. You will get your asses handed to you by the Sun Devils

Our offensive line put up 46, 45, and 52 on MSU, Stanford and Utah. That while having 7 different OL hurt this year. He deserves a goddamn medal of honor.

I think ASU is the best team in the PAC12...so no.

Not that Oregon winning would be a shock, but this year? Who knows.

Have you forgotten that you lost to a redshirt freshman QB in your own stadium?
Let me remind you that you were beaten soundly by Arizona. On both sides of the ball. This game was more lopsided than the score reflected. Your defense gave up nearly 500 yards of total offense. Oregon was held to less than 100 rushing yards in between the tackles that game. You were nearly beaten by Washington State.
Because Mariota has exorcised his demons against Stanford, the media seems to forgive that game against Arizona. Arizona is a team that nearly lost to UTSA, Nevada and won a hail mary against Cal. This isn't a team you should lose to at home.
This is why I don't believe Oregon will take down the SEC. And for those reasons, I'm out.

Conveniently you forget that Pierson and Crosby were our only tackles out of entire 3 deep available for WSU and Arizona. Those two are a true frosh and walk on getting their first extensive action.
Also, teams that spread us out or causing our defense the most problems. Bama is actually a good match up for us and probably a better than Miss State. Our DE are 290 and NT 315 and the linebackers are too big for the spread. We held Michigan State, Utah and Stanford to some of their lowest rushing totals.
We actually match up much better against ground and pound teams.

Sure. This is the year. And I'll be at the game watching, with my dates - Kate Upton and Halle Berry.

Oregon
Offense: Elite
Defense: Top 50
SEC equivalent this season: Auburn
Very good, but would have 2 losses in the SEC West by now.

It will be interesting to see how our defense does in the post season. Two of our best players on playing on ankle sprains that could use 4 weeks of rest. That, and Pellum is still finding his own at DC.

The fact that Oregon is in the top 4 is just dumb. The fact that they have them ahead of FSU is an absolute joke.

Ideally, I'd like to see this:
1. SEC champs vs 4. Florida State
2. Oregon vs 3. TCU
Oregon vs TCU would be a heck of a game with a ton of offense, with the winner to face a more dominant defense in the Championship.

Good luck with this. Lots of myopic homers around here. There isn't a team in the SEC Oregon couldn't beat, but I'd still take Alabama in a head/head matchup.
Seems Oregons talent is a bit down this year but they still are playing well enough to possibly win it all.

One highly regarded computer poll, Massey Ratings, has Fl St ranked #8 and Oregon #3 right now.
For reference, last year before the BCS national championship game it had Fl St #1 and Auburn #2.

The talent on offense is probably the best we've had. This could be our heaviest NFL draft ever but we've had a brain drain on the defensive side of the staff with Aliotti, Azzinaro and Pellum moving from lbs to DC. Pellum isn't getting the most of the talent on the defensive side but he gets a one year pass in my book. I am hoping some extra weeks to plan will do our defense some good.

Agree. #1 offense in the nation right now.
Bison, any beware the Ides of Corvallis this season? I know Ore St stinks, but that has been a dangerous place for the Ducks in years previous.

Oregon State is a dumpster fire and they need Seumalo bad on the OL. I can't imagine they'd play him this late in the season with no bowl eligibility since he has a redshirt available. The oline is porous and the DL has way too many injuries to stop the Ducks.
It really depends on how well Brenner fills in at center for the next two games without Grasu playing. Brenner seems capable.

Yeah, haven't been impressed with the defense this year. The offense is pretty awesome, but the O'line hasn't been stellar. Mariota is a huge difference maker, not sure if people East of the Mississippi realize how good he really is since some of the games are so late. I'm a huge fan of his, not only in his performance but the way he carries himself on the field.
