I don't usually post about MSU but I found this and just found it strange.
Cabanas at Davis Wade

MSU is selling cabanas at their stadium.

Sounds pretty nice to me. Looks like you might just be jealous.

At a pool, I can see it. At a football game, it's just strange. I like the shrubbery though.

Seems like a big waste of space.

Can they see the field from the cabanas? It looks like a bad angle and the standers would be in the way.

Sounds like what Southern Miss has on top of their most recent expansion, essentially tailgating at the game. I doubt those cabanas cost anything for State to set up and at 18000$ a year per cabana money wise that's a smart move by State.

It's pretty much a much cheaper version of a suite. More exposed/less privacy though.

I guess if you have random extra space like that and instead of adding on (seats or suites) to the stadium you want throw up some tents and couches it'll get the job done.

I'm sure there are people that would enjoy it.

I didn't read the article, so perhaps this was was discussed in it, but can you drink in those cabanas like you can in a box?

I don't think it's that bad of an idea.

As an Ole Miss fan we have no right to make fun of a design element of another stadium.

Looks like somewhere a family of fat people would spend $50K to watch a Mississippi State football game.
