Is there even a viable coach out there who could replace Saban?

I’m not seeing any sure fire candidates who are certain to have tons of success except for maybe Kirby Smart, but he isn’t leaving UGA.

Lanning honestly would be a homerun hire. Coached under Saban and Kirby. Hell he even has a bama tattoo

DeMeco Ryans (/d?'mi?ko?/; born July 28, 1984) is an American football coach and former linebacker who is the head coach for the Houston Texans of the National Football League (NFL). Ryans played college football at the University of Alabama, where he was named a unanimous All-American.

Yes. I’m 100% confident Alabama will hire a coach to replace Saban.

Urban Myer has turned around 2 programs. No doubt he would dominate at Bama

No. There is no other Nick Saban. No coach will be able to replicate his success. It's that simple.

DeBoer or Norvell.

Smart nor Ryans are leaving where they are.

There is no replacement

Lanning - He's about as good as any up and coming coach with a little HC time and good pedigree. And he might come in and retain a lot of what Saban built because he coached under Kirby and probably hasn't had time to really formulate what his program buildout looks like.

Dabo - Top 3-4 coach in CFB by any measure, and he'd come. He wouldn't crash the program and he might win titles. Bama fans don't want him, but it seems like a low risk, high upside option. I think it's highly unlikely someone comes in and wins multiple titles in the next few years at Bama, but if anyone could, it's presumably Dabo (Kirby isn't coming).

If you start with the assumption that someone is going to have a chance to win a title using what Saban built but that after that it's a crapshoot and you're probably going to do this again around 2030, it takes some pressure off.

Brian Kelly could finally win a title with all the talent at Bama next year. Look how well he did with lesser talent at other schools.

Doesn’t TB12 still technically have a year of eligibility?
