Really? It's Towson..enough said
Are you going to the game? If so, don't start a thread about how wrong you were about the atmosphere the day after..deal?

Since 1960, LSU is 221-60-4 (.782) at night in Tiger Stadium compared to a 25-26-3 (.491) in day games. Slice it how you want. Have we had the CBS contract since 1960? I looked it up for you....CBS has had the "big" SEC game since 1996.

Ever since South Carolina stepped foot into Tiger Stadium, they've fallen apart at the seams. Coincidence? They went from a legit national title contender to also-ran in the East in a span of two weeks.
No reason to be scared, though ... Losing to LSU should come as no shock to Bama fans considering how often it has happenned in the last 13 years.

complete myth. Its no different than playing in The Swamp at night or at BDS at night. Most of the tougher games are picked up by CBS on the 330 time slot.
Its definitely more diffictult to win at night, but its like that at EVERY SINGLE STADIUM. Tiger Stadium is no different than any others.

Tiger Stadium > The Swamp
And yes, you're mad
And yes, you're mad

While I agree that ALL stadiums have better night atmospheres, TS at night is better than most.
It's hard to put a finger on, but There's something unique/spooky/chaotic/haunted/wild/bourbon/magical/eerie/cajun/lawless about TS at night that is not easily replicated. TS has a character and life like no other stadium.
While LSU has indeed lost night games before (and undoubtedly will lose some in the future), For a big SEC game, there's always a feeling of "something special is about to happen" in Tiger Stadium at night.
Of course, all that may just be the Vodka.

I don't think you homers can read what you're typing.

I watched the '79 LSU team go punch-for-punch with a USCw team that was loaded with AA & future HOF players before losing 17-12. That game shouldn't have been closer than 4 TDs.
The facemask.

LSU at night just has that mystique about it....

U gumps will get arrogance pushed down your collective throats come Nov. 3. U will leave praying another miracle happens and you get voted into a MNC game. After the game mobs of Joyus LSU faithful will hunt down everyone in Crimson and curb stomp them just for kicks. Have a nice day!!!!

It's more 90,000 people + all day to drink = crazy atmosphere supporting an elite program. Easy formula for success
That didn't help Tennessee last week for se reason. Probably because stadium and fans don't win games. Football teams making plays win football games.
Tiger Stadium doesn't win games for LSU, just like being the top historical program in the country doesn't win games for Bama in the here and now.
But please don't let our unimpressed view of an old jalopy of a stadium interfere with y'all's weird worship of the inanimate object.

I am not trying to claim that it is not more difficult to beat the Tigers when you play them in TS at night than it would be in a day game, only that the 47-1 in the last 10 years stat is skewed because you play your most difficult games at 2:30.
I agree that LSU's teams feed off of the crowd's energy more in night games.
But a large part of your phenomenal record is a result of better teams facing the Tigers at 2:30.
25-26-3 is a lot different than 47-1. Which is my point.
I know that the game 11/3 will be a war. I agree it is a huge advantage for the Tigers to play at night. One reason is that those players believe that NO ONE can beat them in the Bayou at night. Most of the players will never have experienced such a loss during their career. That is a huge advantage.

There's something magical about seeing the Purple and Gold underneath the lights at night for a big game after an entire day of partying. It's what I hope heaven is like.

We understand that Bama is better than everybody in everything. To compare anything to Bama is blasphemy.
BTW, there is no such thing as a Cajun Alabama fan. A true cajun only supports LSU.

So noise interfering with the playcalls of the opposing offense/causing the O to have to call unnecessary timeouts and giving the team a huge boost of energy doesn't help win football games?
You'd be naive to think that. Of course the football team does nearly all of the work, but college football's loudest atmosphere in college football's biggest game of the year gives the hometeam at least SOME advantage
