here will be a few media people trying to push for voters to make this a plight against the BCS and vote differently, but I believe cooler heads will prevail because at the end of the day, there is no argument even close with any other team, while Iowa St might be an ok team, they were a 24 pt dog on the road, in an inferior conference, the only team IMHO with even a valid argument is Stanford and they are so far behind in the BCS and will be forced to play an unranked Pac12 opponent in the CG

The thing is, people want to say the voters will look at this, and the voters will look at that....... Bull shite, the voters will wake up sunday morning and have to make a vote in a fairly quick amount of time base on what they have seen and on previous votes. Bama wins, Bama gets at least enough votes to make them #2, and if Arky wins Bama probably gets enough votes to make them #1 and Arky get's enough to be #2.

care to mention where I "started some shite with a witty comment?"

I simply stated that any team's fans who were in LSU position IF THEY WERE BEING HONEST wouldn't be thrilled about playing the team in Bama's position. While any team in Bama's position would be thrilled to be getting another shot. If that is "starting shite" then I'd better never go to Boaz Alabama as logic doesn't seem to really fly there. Sorry I'm not scared by college football.

You know, let's just cheers

I know I was joking, I'll call it as you were joking as well as something just got taken differently.

The funniest dynamic of the lsu avoiding a rematch argument is the idea that lsu is entitled to anything. Winning one game does not protect you from playing the number two team. If LSU is a team that deserves to win a championship it will not matter who they play in new orleans.

Not that I really care, but that is not the system we are under. We are told the whole season counts as opposed to a playoff like the nfl. We were told weeks before the game that this was a semi final as was OU and OSU.

Can't have it both ways.

I for one would love to see a rematch, I think the players would like too as well. This team is hard.

In the end we have no idea what will happen and the BCS is not a great system because as many have pointed out some want a rematch and some don't but if it was the about the 2 best teams playing it would be LSU/UA in the BCSCG. Sad that because people are biased that may take away what it is all about.

In regards to if it was UA in this situation as LSU I would not want the rematch to be honest. Why, you won on the road against a team that could beat you the next time around. Plus in the likely scenario LSU will also have to beat UGA to get there, an extra game.

Also the other issue is the irony of the BCS. We can say that LSU should beat Ark this Friday but the past couple of weeks has proven logic has no place. Not trying to say Ark is a good team but not on the same level. What happens when Ark wins the game, UA goes to #1, Ark #2, and LSU drops to #3. I know it will probably not happen but since so many LSU fans like the what if threads on here lets speculate for moment. UA goes to Atlanta beats UGA and plays lets say Ark in the BCSCG. LSU does not even get a BCS bowl. That is irony.

If a rematch is to happen many LSU fans will post more threads about why they should not have to play UA again, but if LSU does and win the game I can not imagine how many threads will then be posted.

pfssssstt . . . if LSU beats Arky, Bama won't be playing the day before those voters wake up Sunday. OSU will.

again...who is truly TRYING to avoid a rematch?

Depends on how people choose to look at it. From a standpoint of just "winning a title", those people want the easiest path, which bama is not.

Some would like to see this team beat all odds which I think they can. To play our schedule, a seccg (pending), and beat this bama team twice? HOLY shite!

We would have to be considered as one of the all time great cfl teams.

The only reason he didn't have a TD against Baylor is because of Oklahoma's change of philosophy. They go Wildcat with Blake Bell in place of a power running game in the redzone.

And the only other "bad game" he had on the road was against the 7th best defense in the nation. OSU will not be bringing one of those into Bedlam...

Losing a game is WAYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYY worse than being idle.

But you LSU folks have convinced yourselves that you can lose and still get in. While Bama can be jumped just because they are idle.

no it does not, but it would be the first time that (a rematch in the BCS NCG) happened since the BCS started in 1998

that and some people backing themselves into illogical arguments (like a team who didn't win their conference should not be considered) makes it harder for bama this year than it would be if LSU wasn't the #1 team

You are referring to the human polls? Because if they stack up that way, LSU will geaux to the SECCG by virtue of our resulting BCS #2.

Fair enough.

Btw I'd GLADLY have LSU lose to ark, Bama, or anybody else on here if it guaranteed the saints the 2 seed

Oklahoma State has a lot more to play for. Even if both teams are playing for the conference title, Oklahoma State is playing for a chance at the national title.

Oklahoma State at home could potentially roll Oklahoma.

If you're assuming that everyone but Bama loses? OK, then based on that the Tide will play in the MNCCG.

Hope your expectations re: an OSU loss to OU are right, otherwise Bama is in trouble.

Here's the skinny folks
Most LSU fans don't want anything more to do with Bama. If Bama fans were in LSU's situation, they wouldn't want anything more to do with LSU. Bama blew it when they lost, but that game was far from a definite answer to who's the best is between these two teams. The thing is, if other teams in the Nation didn't blow it by losing to inferior opponents these last two weeks. This rematch wouldn't even be up for discussion. But the thing is, those teams did blow it. LSU fans would be wanting a rematch too, if the exact situation was reversed.

ROLL TIDE !!!!!!!!

They can all talk of seen that, done that. Truth is Bama is the only one in the country that can give LSU a game. The other teams will just be sent to slaughter. Bama would crush every one loss team. Fact

So tell the talking heads to GFThemselves. They is dumb.
