Funny stuff here. Lose to a four-loss team in late November and you're worthy to play for a national championship, but only lose in OT to the number one team by a field goal and you're NOT worthy?

again...did you even read my posts or just pick and choose.

I'm NOT advocating another team outside of Bama. I'm simply saying that voters on the west coast, plains states, midwest, east coast, north. Might not be as thrilled at the Bama vs LSU rematch as we are.

I guess that's too much to ask.

LSU fans delusion that they can avoid a rematch at this point is comical. Bottom line if these voters wanted to avoid a rematch they missed their most ctedible chance.

The number 6 team on their ballot beating the number 10 team at home is not a credible reason to have 6 jump number 2.

I'm not sitting back in my chair with my tickets to the NCG in hand sipping a martini, but OSU has some work to do in the polls. Alabama dropped ONE spot after their loss. Alabama is closer to LSU in the polls than OSU is to Alabama. I KNOW votes will change but just look at it. There are people out there who HATE the SEC and yet not a single one of them has Alabama worse than 3rd. But on the other hand there are people out there right now who are giving OSU 7th place votes. Explain all this, cause it's really screwing with my brain.

Dude this is college football, it's an escape, something that is fun to watch. Its not worth getting scared over. I'm scared that my surgically repaired shoulder might not heal, I'm scared that my child might not be born healthy, or for my family members with health issues. Grow some perspective.

Ah so when all else fails I'm going to overreact to a simple post and bring in all things epic.

Wanna compare something to pearl harbor and 9/11 while you're at it?

ahhh, when all else fails resort to sophomoric name calling...as if the ultra cool and witty Dane Cook photo weren't telling enough.

Have a good night buddy.

Ah the I'm going to start some shite with a witty comment and when someone takes a jab at me back I'll play the "high road card" and act like I was the mature one all along.

Everyone who is saying this is full of hypocrisy. Why is it ok most years to forgive a team and give them a 2nd chance when they lose a game? Why should a team that loses a game in a weak conference/division be given a 2nd chance, and a team who plays in the toughest conference and division in college football be penalized? The object of the BCS formula is to try and match up the 2 best teams. No one with half a brain who has watched this football season to date can say with a straight face that LSU and Bama are not the two best teams in college football. This would not be a precedent to put a team that didn't win their conference championship in the title game. The thing is multiple teams had their chance to pretty much not make this a debate and they choked. If Bama had beaten LSU I wouldn't want a rematch, but I damn sure could admit Bama and LSU are the top two teams this season.

I really liked everything you said. I also appreciate you're honesty at the end.

There will be a few media people trying to push for voters to make this a plight against the BCS and vote differently, but I believe cooler heads will prevail because at the end of the day, there is no argument even close with any other team, while Iowa St might be an ok team, they were a 24 pt dog on the road, in an inferior conference, the only team IMHO with even a valid argument is Stanford and they are so far behind in the BCS and will be forced to play an unranked Pac12 opponent in the CG

They'll be #5 at least after this weekend.

And Virginia Tech will probably lose the ACC Championship game. Or this week to Virginia.

If Notre Dame upsets Stanford, I'd start to get very uneasy if I were an Alabama fan.

Don't know why Gumps have such a hard time acknowledging that human beings make POLTICAL decisions based on personal bias every single day.

If ANY voter wants to:
1. Stick it to the BCS
2. Stick it to the SEC.
3. Stick it to Bama.
4. Stick it the status quo.
5. Stick it to their bloated mother in law who happens to be a gump

Now would be the perfect time.
Anything can happen based on every possible, stupid, insane bias.
This ain't science.

Here is my prediction. If Bama wins against Auburn, we are in the BCSNCG unless end up playing in the SECCG and we lose to Georgia. LSU better beat Arkansas friday, if not... I see it being.

1.Bama
2.Arkansas
3.LSU

Which isn't correct.

LSU won't fall to 3.

LSU is staying in the top 2 no matter what.

The funniest dynamic of the lsu avoiding a rematch argument is the idea that lsu is entitled to anything. Winning one game does not protect you from playing the number two team. If LSU is a team that deserves to win a championship it will not matter who they play in new orleans.

care to mention where I "started some shite with a witty comment?"

I simply stated that any team's fans who were in LSU position IF THEY WERE BEING HONEST wouldn't be thrilled about playing the team in Bama's position. While any team in Bama's position would be thrilled to be getting another shot. If that is "starting shite" then I'd better never go to Boaz Alabama as logic doesn't seem to really fly there. Sorry I'm not scared by college football or take this message board as seriously as you do.

Giants lost to the Pats in the regular and beat them in the SB. Just sayin'...

What's the difference between either situation? A team lost to another in the regular season and met again in the post season. To my knowledge their wasn't a split title.

With that said, I doubt their is a rematch and if their was it would be the same result.

Think about the mental state of our team. They have had to stay and keep their edge ALL YEAR against a shite ton of adversity. That is so hard to do without any letdown and wiping the floor with all but 1 team. And that is going to be the argument weather people like it or not, who can challenge this lsu team?

Alabama.

(provided we win Friday of course)
