How can some of you with a straight face ignore the injuries that Mizzou had last year but count their opponents this year to discredit Mizzou?
Because in the south, there are some thick skulled, stubborn arse people that don't like change. They hate excuses, but will embrace it when it fits their line of thinking, then deny said excuses and claim it as fact.

Mizzou was good in the Big 12. Mizzou will compete in the SEC.

Is this a thinly veiled reference to the rumored "extra muscle" that african americans posses in their legs?
Like, having the most african american players is the key to victory?
If so, I do not approve of this post.
I am just pointing out how UGa and UF had a ton of ACL tears this year, and Mizzou had bunch last year.

aTm is gonna win the West at some point soon my man. Recruiting is STRONG and Sumlin is committed.
They have just as much chance as anyone else. In the west, we all recruit very well. Unless you get the #1 class for 4 straight years (bama) it's really a roll of the dice.

Mizzou proved the key to winning the East these days is having the most ACLs
You're one bitter motherfricker. All these LSU fans do is excuse-make and put qualifiers on everything.
Missouri put 41 and 31 on Georgia and Florida's unijured defenses - and were 2nd in the SEC in rushing offense.
All that's left for Missouri to do is finish catching up to the SEC nuances on defense. Recruit some wide body DTs that can eat up blockers and maintain the point of attack, so as to not get their shite continuously pushed in by pure power running teams like Auburn.

once the rest of the DCs adjust their schemes/personnel, the defenses will catch up and become dominant again.

I don't mind the spread; I think they are fun to watch. It just seems that everyone is starting to run some form of it in one way or another. I don't want college football to turn into the NFL the past decade or so where it seemed everybody ran some form of the West Coast offense. All the crazy offenses you might see from week to week are what make the college game fun. Creates better matchups IMO.

Our defense has come a long fricking way & will continue to get better now that we have a competent DC. I think Auburn & aTm are going to be one of the few teams who run the spread that will have the potential to play great defense.
Edit: add Miss St to the list as well.

This year was an anomaly. Young/injured defenses and REALLY good, veteran qb's. We really had some truly GREAT qb's in this conference this year. We may look back and see that we took it for granted during the season.
But the SEC always has and always will put great athletes on defense. Better than any other conference in America. Getting them to play cohesively and overcome inexperience takes time. Just look at LSU's defense in a "down" year with tons of freshmen starting.
And as far as moving to the spread, it's really not saying much. It's a bread and butter offense these days. But you still have to run the football and stop the run.

UGA was without two WR their starting 2 running backs
And UF was without pretty much everyone, they lost Easly early on.
Truth be told the East hasn't been as good as the West in a while.
Even when Tebow was at UF it was UF and UGa and then everyone else.
