1. The defense at UGA for the last two seasons doesn't look like anything special until Vandy's season ends and Muschamp can devote time to putting the defense together.

2. For some reason we were told that UGA was upgrading at the QB position because Gunner drives a Ford pickup and he's more liked by his teammates.

3. UGA WRs haven't been the same since Hankton left for LSU.

4. UGA OL hasn't been the same since Matt Luke "retired" and then went to Clemson.

5. UGA has now slipped back to the pack in the SEC with everyone else. I don't feel they are any longer the class of the conference.

They're reverting back to the mean: Mark Richt level results for the foreseeable future

The entire sport is in decline.

That said, we are extremely young and inexperienced at a bunch of positions.

A Bama fan admitting that Georgia had been the class of the conference... Thanks for the compliment!

That's an untruth. We have more parity and competition than ever in the sport. It looks like your coach is having trouble with his approach to NIL and the portal. Not to mention, his most recent staff hires have been mid at best.

Georgia has really been hurt by NIL just like most teams have. Look at the offensive line play across college football. It’s as bad as I have ever watched over the years. NIL will help some teams every year but for the most part it is hurting everyone.

Kind of weird for an Alabama fan to post this considering we all thought y’all were cooked after one loss. I imagine Alabama and Georgia are going to have very similar seasons.

That's due to coaching. Look at us. We have talented guys on our OL. But, the OL coach? He's not that good. Same for LSU. We have a sport that is filled with parity now. So, you know what that means? That means that coaching is more important b/c you have so many teams who are similar in talent.

Nah, one kid has already played for 4 teams, fans are staying home, stadiums getting smaller, parity never lasts long as the elite find a way to be elite. That was certainly the worst Bama team I have seen in years, we just could not sustain drives due to terrible play calling.

I agree with ya.

Ironically the best OL I've seen in the SEC this year just fired their HC.

I don’t know if it’s the strength and conditioning program or the way they practice. Bama just doesn’t bully people on the line like they used to. They just aren’t as physical. That’s got to change because the run game is horrible.

I was shocked that they failed to score any points in the second half against UGA. Kirby figured out Simpson and their offense after only one half of football. Bama doesn't look that scary at all considering they just beat UGA.

A lot of it has to do with how they practice. Saban believes in physical practices. I don't know if you caught Cristobal talking about that last week before the Florida game but he says his team practices like Butch Davis and Saban teams practiced. Physical.

I don’t understand the need of fans to put down their opponents after their team beats said team. I’d like to think Alabama is actually improving and not just beating teams like Georgia because they aren’t that good. Georgia is not as deep as they used to be but no one is. Every team is a couple of key injuries from going 8-4/7-5 instead of 10-2 or better.

Well stated. This is basically it. There is no more stacking rosters like there was before NIL and transfer portal. Those days are in the rear view. Whether it’s good or bad is all in the beholder

Well Bama doesn’t have a bunch of no talent bums out there this year. This could be a pretty good group. They have got to be more physical though in the run game. They do fine in pass pro but the run game will be needed at some point this season and right now they do not have the line that can dominate the line.
