It is hard to put into words how miserable Lubbock is to visit, much less live in every day. There is a reason Texas Tech hasn't won an outright, unshared conference title in football since the Border Conference.

It's a better job yes but no job in Texas is great because of the politics you have to deal with.
Fred Akers when he was starting to get heat from the Texas boosters --"We are gonna do our best and if that isn't good enough they can all go straight to hell"

A&M gave Fisher EVERYTHING he asked for - he just couldn't deliver. At A&M there are no barriers to what we will give the coach in order to be successful.

-Our facilities crush most college football programs and NFL as well
-Our NIL is the subject of a ton of debate
-Fisher spent more on staff than the majority of college football

All you have to do is succeed, and A&M will give you everything required ... that is why it has become a great job

Yup.

The location is nice too. In the middle of Houston, Austin, & Dallas. Close to LA. Makes recruiting a little but easier.

It isn't about historical. It is about today, but then that makes senses coming from a moron like "Sliced Bread"

Do you not see the buyout for Jimbo that in itself says it's a bigger job as they put more resources into their program.. They still miss the mark in getting results though

All of Tech's numbers came from the Big12 where A&M had to navigate the SEC since 2012.

I guess Leach being 7-3 vs Aggy before they came to the SEC was all just a fluke.

Lubbock is ugly and a terrible place to live. The only good thing about Lubbock is it is fairly close to some great snow skiing areas in New Mexico

It can be because it is. Have you ever been there?

In fairness I have never been to Lubbock or College Station. One of my good friends who is an Alabama season ticket holder has told me that College Station is a great place to visit. That is the extent of my knowledge on either city.

You should really try to educate yourself instead of trolling. A&M is the number 1 job,as far as potential, in the country. Largest student body, incredible alumni support, great facilities, the money and the will to seek to improve. Lol..even those that went to Texas Tech won’t acknowledge it. Obviously you’ve never been to Lubbock.
