Only 7 schools generate more revenue than expenses: LSU, Nebraska, Ohio State, Oklahoma, Penn State, Purdue (????) and Texas. A&M just missed the cut.

Incorrect. There are other schools that had more revenue than expenses. The schools that you listed are the ones that didn't have subsidies.

Saban brought the modern day pro model to college football in a way no other coach has duplicated save a few schools including LSU. From preparation, practice structure, recruitment is all centered around being elite and pro ready on draft day. That allows you to get the 5 star athletes and play at a level unlike any in college football. Saban will be the first $10 million a year coach by 2015.

That doesn't count donations to UofA and additional students who decided to come to school at Bama. There is a reason that every recruit that comes to visit also talks to Dr. Witt. Witt knows that a popular football program draws out of state students.

Saban is worth twice his compensation.
