Is there a team that loses the ballgame at the very last minute(or even seconds) like Ole Miss seems to do?

. Ole Miss won the SEC Basketball tournament

This is what I was thinking. They may have missed the NCAA tournament all together if they didn't put together that impressive run.

I always think of their kicker choking a game winning kick, against Miami, year after year.

Texas A&M, Vanderbilt, LSU were both games seemingly won by Ole Miss up until the last minutes of play.

I don't recall any point in the Ole Miss-LSU game at which it looked like Ole Miss had the game won. It certainly appeared to be in doubt who would win, but at no point would a person watching the game think "Ole Miss has this one won".

Must say next to the Auburn/Alabama rivalry, this is my second favorite. The next would be UGA/UF

huh.... Ole Miss won the SEC Basketball tournament... when was the last time MSU had a championship in the major two sports (losing to UK two years ago in the championship game doesn't count)?

The 96 SEC tournament maybe?

Easy to "choke" on defense late in the game if you're young and understaffed.
The new motto of Ole Miss football: "Young and understaffed since 1963."

Exactly. All those years of playing in the ACC and top 5 finishes.

Virginia Tech is a team that comes to mind. A very successful program that really hasn't won anything.

If I was a quarterback facing Ole Miss, needing a touchdown to win the game with less than 2:00 left in the game, I would just throw the football behind my back with my eyes closed

T. Russell? Is that you? Shouldn't you be, you know... practicing and shite?

At least when we lose a game, we lose because we thoroughly got beat and deserved to lose.

Ole Miss will run up until the very last second then drop the ball.

When was the last time MSU choke in a game? As a state fan, I either know MSU is going to win convincingly, or win at the last minute(chances are better if we're playing Ole Miss), or lose convincingly.

Ole Miss fans can never relax because as long as time exists in the game, they can and possibly will find a way to lose.

Yeah because if you were quarterback state would of won the Egg Bowl and continued the streak. Some how we didn't seem to choke and spanked that arse.

well, you can also ask, how many would they have had if there was a playoff...?

FSU wasn't as lucky as Alabama in regards to getting a rematch lol There are plenty of years where no one would have wanted a piece of FSU at the end of the year...'97, '89, '90, '91

Every Ole Miss game is a 90s sports movie with Ole Miss playsing the role of the bad team and the opposing team playing the role of the ragtag bunch of misfits who somehow pull it out to win the game in the last second by some zany wacky miracle play.
