Bottom line, just as long as a SEC team wins it this year it'll be fine.

You'll be fine either way.

All they want to do is talk about how we are loose and play with sledgehammers and have facial hair and bust beats in the dugout and how fat Wes Rea is

I'm pretty sure I heard "6-5 275" 10 times last night

Dont get me wrong, I grew up with some fine State folks in HB and all but 79% of their fanbase kills me. I just can't cheer for them, sorry.

Call it butthurt, call it whatever, it's a rivalry and no, I do not want them to win.

Oh please, you guys would shite all over this board if you won. I was here in 2008 & 09 when you had marginal success (relatively) in baseball and you guys acted like Bianco was Tony fricking LaRussa and Cohen was a scrub. Don't even get me started on those first two Nutt years, either.

I think a lot of people look at us and know that we have never been in spot before and therefor look at us as the underdog with a damn good team that could easily win it. They also look at how much fun our dugout and players are having right now and I think it causes fans without a team in it to pull for State.

We have been in this spot before. We won the first two games in Omaha when Clark and Palmeiro played. We finished tied for third.

Baseball is a sport where a team that gets on a hot streak at the right time can beat better teams, (on paper). There is still a lot of baseball to be played but I like watching these guys. They seem to be loose, having fun and taking care of business at the same time. Cohen has pushed the right buttons so far, and that is not easy with all the pressure.

30 years ago. Nobody remembers that outside of State fans. I also think we are the fan favorites right now is because of the way we have won. Two eighth inning rallies and barely holding the opposing team off in the ninth.

I beg to differ. Football is not streaky. One game the underdog may pull off an upset over a much favored opponent but when the playoffs come, the cream rises to the top.

Just pulling for the SEC underbulldawg! Also rooting for LSU tonight, but I would like to see MSU take it all. Nothing against LSU, though and if they can do it...

Agree. In baseball a team like Fresno State can suddenly get hot and repeatedly beat teams that have much more raw talent.

I see it more as a reset. Back to where we expect to be going forward after Polk began to quit on us from the time Cohen walked off Rosenblatt as a player in 1990 forward.

Have been saying that all year to a tremendous amount of shite talking here -- but whenever and however this run ends, there is gonna be a bunch of quality bumping going on...
