Haven't been to the new stadium. Falcon fans been there all year and Bama fans got to experience the new dome against Florida State earlier this year.

Is the new dome a lot better?

Yes

It makes most stadiums, college and pro, look like a piece of shite

I liked the Dome FWIW

It's crazy to think the Georgia Dome was only 25 years old...I can vividly remember being at the SEC Championship game in 2001 and thinking how much better that place was than the Superdome.

Not surprisingly my attitude went from "I love the Dome, it's kind of a waste to get rid of it" to "holy shite tear that monstrosity down" about 5 minutes after I began touring MBS for the first time

I really really liked the dome.

But MBS is one of the nicest stadiums on this planet, it's a marvel. To me personally I think it feels a little too "corporate", I guess? at the moment. I can't realy find the word I'm looking for. But anyways, yes it is that much nicer.

Yeah this is fair. It's a stadium built to host Super Bowls and World Cup matches, and it feels like that. In some ways the Dome was too. I'm CFB focused so it always felt like a place where you play for titles or in big exhibitions (bowls, SECCG, etc.).

You're never going to have some religious like connection to a place like MBS, but that doesn't mean it isn't among the premier places in the world to watch a game.

I went for the first time last week. It's pretty damn nice but Jerry World is still the premier NFL stadium imo

It is a major upgrade over that house of horrors that just got demolished

I know what you mean. Tough to put a finger on it but I feel like the lower level isn't close enough to the field and stretched back too far. Also the way Blank structured the ticketing has seemingly kept a lot of Falcons fans out of the building and instead corporate sponsors and clients are filling in the seats.

I went for our game against the Nerds back on Labor Day.

I wasn't overly impressed. But then again I was hammered. I'll be back for Panthers/Falcons and will take a lap to tour it after the game ends.

Not to mention the hallways in the concourse are way too skinny. At least they seemed that way for the CFA kickoff game against FSU. I’ve never experienced a bigger foot traffic jam entering and leaving the stadium.

I loved the Dome and seeing it cave in made me a bit sad. With that said, unequivocally yes.

This. There is a huge crowd control problem. The restrooms only have one way in and out, and the escalators had to be stopped because security feared that people were going to be crunched. It also took me at least 30 minutes to get a round of beers during the first quarter.

I feel like the place was designed with form over function in mind. It is obvious that there are several oversights.

I feel pretty confident they're among the widest concourses of any stadium on the planet.

I do think they make some questionable flow decisions in routing people coming in and out. I heard similar complaints about a couple of the early concerts.

I think Tennessee-Georgia Tech had a one time logistical issue with getting people out that has not happened since.
