We'd have won the West without Kiffin this year.

Kiffin gets cute too much. Henry will be chugging along and he'll call a bubble screen or a roll out pass that often ends up getting negative yards and ruining the drive.

This is what kept hope alive for me in the Iron Bowl. Unfortunately he finally figured out he just needed to pound Henry over and over again.

His inability to figure that out in the Sugar Bowl cost Alabama a national championship.

Lane is one of the more frustrating OCs out there. My honest opinion is that he can script some absolutely brilliant plays from time to time BUT those plays often rely on super-talent and wouldn't work with lesser players (those splash plays are why he's overrated - people remember them and forget the dumb calls). He also gets rattled easily and goes away from what works too quickly. He's an impatient OC and one who a good DC can frustrate easily if he has the horses to harry the offense.

He has a lot to improve upon as an OC.

agree ... and he refuses to use the te at all ... i'm not that impressed with his play calling or play design ... too many jet sweeps, and he doesn't know how to get drake out into space without running a sweep with him ...

He got Drake in space last year. These teams he has called plays for the last two years has had the worst OLs since 07 and the worst two QBs. It's a miracle these teams are on the verge of winning back to back SECC and Kiffin has been a huge part of that.

Your backups are more talented than anyone else's starters.

Yes and very good with quarterbacks. Not head coach material though

When have you ever heard an announcer say that he's a bad coordinator?

Not on the OL. We got a couple of freshmen QBs that are talented.

Obviously you didn't watch the LSU game two weeks before...and see the 9:10 drive that ended the game, with Henry carrying it 10 times. But then again, why would you?

What he has done with Jake Coker this year is nothing short of a miracle ... Let's be honest ... Coker fricking sucks ... Yet here Alabama sits.. Heading to the SECCG and probably another CFB Playoff ... Both times they did it with a brand new starter under center.

Very good coordinator.

Horrible head coach.

Why is everyone so certain about that? Monte Kiffin hurt his teams. Lane was bad arse otherwise.

Yeah, but some of these guys think any OC could do what he's done the last two years.

I think that going to Bama is good for him. I believe Saban is teaching him how to call a game when winning. You know that Saban was involved with Bama running the ball for 9 straight minutes vs LSU and 46 times vs Auburn. Regardless if the team can stop it or not, Kiffin wants the long ball (it's sexier). I still think that led to the L to Ole Miss.

He is a good OC but not great. Not yet.

But too bad he is still a douche.

Tries to do too much instead of what he needs to do to win the game.

He's great if he's got a Heisman running back...

Good, far from perfect.

Been pleased with him adjusting the game plans to include Henry more. There was a time when he wasn't running the ball enough and I was pretty down on him, but he's adjusted and I have to give him credit where it's due.
