IF Jake can’t win a conference title or natty, should Smart have done more to keep Fields around?

There is nothing he could have reasonably done to keep him around. Benching Fromm for an unknown who didn’t clearly beat him out would be insane.

Well that is a good question, but Georgia fans think Fromm played good in the championship game. Even though he was 16/32 1td 2ints and a 36.9 qbr.

For these dumbass Auburn fans, Kirby no only out recruits Richt, he is light years better at managing his roster.

Richt left too much to chance, Kirby does not. Luck comes to those who put themselves in situations to take advantage of it.

Speaking of royal dumbasses, AU's coach lost to fricking UT....

We had 75 players on scholarship a few years under Richt. 10 guys short, no probation just a self imposed penalty.

Not questionable, Richt let the rosters get down to below 70 schollys at one point.

Fields will look awesome u til he doesn't , OSU is light years beyond the teams they have played so far, he will shrink sooner or later.

I don’t even think Richt would question that. His last really good team (2012) had 68 scholarship players on it.

He couldn’t beat out Fromm. He is a real talent but he is not Fromm. Fromm has unique leadership skills and works like a demon. AU would have hocked Jordan Hair if they thought they could buy him like they did Cam.

God almighty folks.WE DIDN'T FIRE THE MARK RICHT FROM '01 to '07.Why is this so difficult to understand?

Richt ran the program into the ground the 2nd half of his career and proved who he was at Miami.

How many schools would take Richt over Kirby if they fired their coach tomorrow? ZERO!

Kirby should've changed the offensive scheme to suit Fields. Kirby is playing Les Miles' ball and not capitalizing on the explosive talent he has outside of Swift. That will bite Kirby in the hind parts sooner or later. Kirby is playing an outdated style of football that will cost him when he goes up against an equally talented team (Clemson, Bama, or LSU).

It’s much more explosive than les miles ball.

Until Smart wins a NC. Til then he still wouldnt have won the big games. The East is weaker now than pretty much any year under Richt.

I'm going to go out on a limb and say Kirby knows one hell of a lot more about coaching college football than you do.
