I love it when idiots think they know a coach. BK used LSU as a retirement gig nothing more. He was to busy playing golf to care about LSU football so no LK is not the same as BK

On paper you may be right.

What I’m seeing do far out of LK is that he’s hungry.

BK came to LSU to retire.

A friendly reminder that LSU has 29 losses the past 6 seasons, an average of 5 losses per season.

LSU is 47-29 since 2019. If any fanbase knows about losing it is LSU fans.

If Kelly put any effort into coaching at LSU, he’d have at least one title.

Kiffin has already worked harder as LSU coach than Kelly did the entire time he was here.

BK’s winning percentage dwarfs Kiffin’s.

And Kiffin’s dwarfs Ed O’s. Didn’t matter. Looking at straight percentage without context or other factors is stupid.

I saw what kiffin did at ole miss, wonder why ole miss didn't offer the clearly better coach, Briank Kelly, when Kiffin left. In fact, no one offered Brian Kelly a job, weird as he was very available

Kiffin is much better than Kelly. Kiffin is not lazy. He's busting his arse recruiting in both the HS and portal ranks. His former program will be in worse shape. If Kiffin was still at Ole Miss, they would've defeated Miami and made it to the Natty. Ole Miss will fall off starting next year compared to where they were under Kiffin.

Kelly was a lazy recruiter and the program he left to go to LSU is in better shape. If Kelly were the coach of ND in 24, they would not have made the Natty. A lot of key players (both HS and portal) on that ND team would've never committed to ND if Kelly was there. At LSU, Kelly was also a lazy recruiter. He didn't even bother to know the names of prospects and told them they had to schedule appointments just to talk to him. If Kelly wasn't in a state with a cult-like atmosphere, where a lot of top players in the state only go to LSU because "dey LSU", he would've done even worse.

Kelly had a better resume to be honest.

LSU is paying the guy like 12 million a year to sit at home.

Pretty telling

Surely someone would pay him $13 million to coach, he is better than kiffin afterall.

But I guess what you are saying is once so much money was guaranteed no matter how hard he worked, he chose the path of least work

Guess we finally discovered the difference, good job fellas!

No, if he decides to take another job, he'll take the minimum amount possible, like $200k. If some school came along and offered him 13 million, that would just let LSU off the hook. They won't do that, they'll make LSU pay the difference.

But he doesn't even need to do that unless he wants. Maybe in a year or 2.

Kind of like when Kiffin was the OC at Alabama. His salary was very low because USC was still paying him millions after he got fired. Anything more Alabama paid him would just reduce the payments from USC.

Neither Kelly or Kiffin have shown themselves to be good coaches.
