Yes, We were National Champions in 1958 before we beat Clemson in the Sugar Bowl. Champions were crowned before the bowls back them because Bowls are exhibitions.

Omaha. Several other cities for men’s and women’s indoor and outdoor track. And a host of other locations for other sports.
Is it true that LSU has 48 national championships compared to Clemson’s 6?
(and before you ask, LSU and Clemson have the same number of championships in football)
Is it also true that Clemson would be ninth in the SEC in athletics if based on official national championships?
Clemson literally increased their total number of championships in the entire history of the school by 50% with their last two football titles, but LSU is supposed to be some flash in the pan... get the frick outta here.
Congrats on lucking up recently with your little sister QB in your little sister school in your little sister conference. Pussy.

The site I looked at, the last regular season game, in '58 was at Tulane Stadium.
So everyone should be worried when the championship game is in Nola (pipe down BAMA????)
