You might wanna do some research on these 3 seasons. That's not from cheating. Nice try though

Call it whatever you want* but the outcome of the games was amended AFTER the players left the gridiron ……yes or no?

Bottom line for LSU was that it didn’t matter because we beat you every year you had to "posthumously change the scoreboard due to off the field improprieties”

*FYI- I call it a make up call for all the years you didn't get caught crimson-handed

You could really use a lesson in research. Its called the coaches trophy. What do you think the BCS adopted? The coaches trophy was first awarded in 86 (i think) and is contractually tied to the BCS.

It's sad to see how Bama not only claims all these football national championships that were not even celebrated by Bama at the time. And their fan base just goes along with the spin. It's casts an underlining resentment toward Bama Fans and their school. If I were them I would clean this up and be truthful instead of constantly bragging about false championships.

now Bama claims titles based on the material the TROPHY was made out of!!

The BCS began in 1998. (see the Tenn trophy for proof)

There is no "BCS" trophy, it is the Coaches trophy. The BCS decides who plays in the title game, the coaches vote for the winner. The trophy has been crystal since 1986.

Which ones weren't celebrated at the time? All the ones under bryant were. The rose bowl wins in the 20s and 30s were. 92 and 09 were. The only one that probably wasn't is 41.

Who on here is claiming fictious championships?

Any Alabama fan that claims 1941 is not very smart. Claiming the 6 Bryant won plus the two Coaches trophies and the first Rose Bowl isn't far-fetched nor does it make you misinformed. Obsessing over something as inconsequential as this when there is a championship coming up that both schools will be in shows your lack of maturity. What is it you hope to accomplish? Perhaps you could have an occuppy Tuscaloosa and convince them because frankly your argument here is tired.

No flame, serious question, so if LSU loses, bama could hold up the trophy, but more coaches could vote for LSU in the final poll. Would they get it?
I hope that doesn't happen because whoever wins the game deserves the championship, but is that possible?

Coaches can not vote the loser of the game #1. They have contract in place specifying this.

The AP can vote a different champion, and whatever other useless poll that is NOT associated withe BCS. ALL those polls are IRRELEVANT!!!

Some can't grasp the accomplishments of teams they play. What Lsu has done this past decade has been tremendous. Lsu is definitely having the best run of in it's history and won't be dropping off in the foreseeable future. It's one thing to talk a little smack after a current win, but going back and doing what some are doing is laughable sometimes.

Thank you, nice post.

Bama does have a better historical record with more championships than LSU does; however, some of those championships are laughable.

According to the NCAA, Bama has 5 unanimous and 5 split championships. The NCAA does not recognize Bama as champions in 1930 (Notre Dame), 1934 (Minnesota), 1941 (Minnesota), or 1966 (where, admittedly they got the shaft). Shouldn't NCAA recognition be the standard?

Source...read the print at top where it states "sources recognized by the NCAA."
