Not until they prove they can get past their Alabama problem. It's a common theme in the SEC.

I always find it comforting how fans are so quick to reside to “Kirby can’t coach, he can only recruit”. It’s some sort of rationalization that’s made in order to cope with the fact that Georgia is likely going to be very good for a long time.

Anyone with eyes knows Kirby is a mediocre coach with a propensity to choke. It’s the Georgia way.

This is Kirbys first year with his recruits as upperclassmen. I've never seen a team of freshmen and sophomores dominate college football. I've seen it from upperclassmen.

We shall see if he can coach.

I read this and my first thought was "this must be a UF or Auburn fan."

To realize it came from a Bama fan makes it absolutely glorious!

Hey Donald, where is that 1980 school pic from?

Actually that is from the elementary school I went to in Upper Mutt, New Zealand. Our teacher, Ms.Clement was an UGA graduate and huge Bulldog fan.

As you know in the Southern Hemisphere the seasons are swapped so when the Bulldogs won that NC so long ago it was middle of summer but Ms. Clement didn’t go due to other plans but she spent the rest of days hoping her Bulldogs could win another one so she could atleast go the victory parade.

Poor Ms Clement died of a broken heart after the 2017 NC game and that is one reason I despise Georgia. Those bastards killed our Miss Clem Clem.

UGA is on the cusp. I don't know if they'll eventually win it all but I wouldn't put money against them right now.

2017 and 2018 proved he can coach. Can he keep it up is the question.

Notice not a single O-Lineman listed.

Richt recruited everywhere but the O-line for some inexplicable reason. These Georgia teams put an emphasis on winning the LOS. That's the biggest difference.

If he keeps recruiting at this level, Smart will eventually get the NC & it will likely be due to a once in a decade QB that makes the difference.

I'd be surprised if they don't cash in by 2024.

It was MSUs year in 2017, that's all we heard until kickoff. Silence by half time.

Both have more recent National Championships. Florida has 3 since your last one.

Must suck to try and mock programs that have more hardware than you and play make believe and pretend.

Kirby has choked away games every season so far I don’t see that trend stopping.

Get rid of the East West divisions. If UGA was in the West you’d never hear about them as a projected division winner. Instead we have to hear it every year.

You might want to look up the definition of mock, I know that's a big word for a gump.

And thank you for your interest in Dawgs football.

The odds work against us, but we've done what you need to do and built our program to the point that we can actually do something about upping those odds.

The question, really, is, "Will we finally take advantage of where we've positioned ourselves.".

We have the means, we just have to make use of them.

Like in the same way we don’t hear LSU mentioned?

The defense should be as filthy as any UGA has had in a while. All I have is the team has its ticket stamped for the SECCG.

Anything beyond that is a guess. Knocks on wood, no bad injuries, 5 stars actually impressing, just overall good vibes in camp so far.
