Yeah I keep hearing this, but I also keep seeing from Arch some serious football skills… that 50+ yard TD pass vs. Sam Houston was pretty. Did not look like Arch has a permanent “noodle arm” QB defect…
You know right now most Longhorn fans will hope the glass is half full, not half empty… what else would y’all expect??

What I saw last game settled me back into the All In mode. Yes, it was Sam Houston State, but what I saw different was better accuracy and velocity.
I don't believe he was hurt, but something changed with him over that one game. Need to see how he reacts when pressured. That is he needs to throw the ball away, or take off with it at the right time. Develope his sense of defensive pressure and when the pocket is collapsing.
When people say he risks injury running, hold up a minute. He's a big SOB and has some muscle holding him together, something Ewers never had or will have. Even though Ewers is not small either, he seemed fragile, not Manning.
I think Arch will get it together. He's only been first team starter 4 games.
BTW, I'd take Arch over, Reed, Arnold and Mr. Glass Lagway, off the top of my head.
And ANOTHER thing...He has some studs in the backfield and a plethora of top shelf recievers to throw to. He doesn't have to rescue the team, just get the ball to the playmakers. It's the O-Line that is suspect and should be under the microscope.

This must be your nightly splooge pic, sip. When Arch turns into the biggest bust in your program's history, will you still be able to beat the bishop with this pic?
Like aggy doesn’t hope their own QB is awesome?
I know better than that…

Yes, I am in a way better mood this week…

I cannot believe I haven’t seen anyone bring up Fournette doing the Heisman pose against Sam Houston.

I missed that… can you post a photo?

Apples to oranges. Peyton and Eli did not play in the spread era, Arch does. With that said, the expectations placed on Arch have been ridiculous.

And what did his Uncles win in the SEC?

But if Arch has actually broken through his early stage fright slump
Didn't he start two games last year? And play some in most every other game?
Then again, there was this.
I actually kinda like Arch. He seems like a good kid. I just don't think he has the talent to live up to donghorn expectations. For his sake, he may prove me wrong. I have been wrong before.

It was generally known he was overrated due to his last name. Really was not sour grapes, because no Manning will ever play for LSU.
Texas will have two QBs next year with more talent than Arch, easily. Nothing against the kid… hope he is successful in life… he just won’t be Texas QB1 next year, as much as I hope he is due to schedule.

We don’t know yet, but Arch’s high school level aptitude is not necessarily a plateau for his entire football career, set in stone…
Tom Brady was only a 6th round NFL draft pick for the New England Patriots… and look what happened there…

This kid wasn’t persecuted. He was put on a pedestal.
Highest NIL ever. Outrageous Media hype.
The Arch Loverz outnumbered the haterz 100 to 1.

Nice try, but it wasn’t an Aggies thing.
God forbid anyone tell the teasippers and the media to pump the breaks on anointing the chosen one.
Y’all fueled up the preseason hype train….full speed ahead.

His uncles did not wait two years to play and then look like dog shite.

95% of Texas fans thought Ewers should have been on the bench. Same fans thought Arch was going to come out this year and put up Heisman numbers.
IMO, the ceiling for Arch is a lot higher than Ewers, but right now, Arch is not consistent at all, regardless of competition.
Ohio State - 1st 3 quarters - Blah
Ohio State - 4th Quarter - Great at times, Bad at times
I get the argument that they might have been playing prevent defense, but some of the throws he made in the 4th quarter were pretty much the same throws he missed in the 1st 3 quarters. The players were open in the short and intermediate routes most of the game.
When Arch is good, he is really good.
When Arch is bad, he is really bad.
Time will tell if he can find a middle ground.

As a strategic matter, us getting and hyping Arch (plus the new SEC membership) helped us reel in a lot of other good recruits, including offensive and defensive linemen we needed…
College football seems to be a big hype big money sport now…
But the Arch hype was overdone… you can’t know Arch is going to assure you a national championship (which is hard as heck to achieve) before the kid actually gets out there and plays…

I did not see it...I did see his throws against OSU though.

I would think most Longhorn fans are also thinking maybe the name on his jersey doesn't make him a great qb

I think he will be good but I did not believe the superhuman hype coming into this season and having little actual experience
