Squalls out on the gulf stream
Big storm commin' soon
Passed out in my hammock
God, I slept till way past noon
Stood up and tried to focus
I hoped I wouldn't have to move far
Sure could use a bloody mary
So I stumbled over to Loui's back yard

And now I must confess
I could use some rest
I can't run at this pace very long
Yes it's quite insane
Think I hurt my brain
But it cleans me out, then I can go on

There's somthing 'bout this Sunday
It's the most peculiar gray
Strollin' down the avenue that's known as A1A
Feelin tired, then I got inspired
I knew it wouldn't last long
So all alone I walked back home
Sat on the beach and there I made up this song

And now I must confess
I could use some rest
I can't run at this pace very long
Yes it's quite insane
Think I hurt my brain
But it cleans me out, then I can go on

Well the wind is blowin' harder now
Fifty knots or there abouts
There's white caps on the ocean
And I'm watchin' for water spouts
It's time to close the shutters
It's time to go inside
In a week I'll be in gay par-ey
Hell that's a mighty long airplane ride

And now I must confess
I could use some rest
I can't run at this pace very long
Yes it's quite insane
Think I hurt my brain
But it cleans me out, then I can go on
Yes it cleans me out, then I can go on

Just sang that to the tune of The Wreck of the Edmond Fitzgerald. It works.

Florida and Louisiana could very well be rescheduling some games again. Water temps are hot as hell. In the Gulf, they are in the middle 80s to low 90s. Well above the 80 degrees needed to sustain a tropical storm. That's serious hurricane talk.

No. The weather is changing. Hotter summers, colder winters, more powerful hurricanes, droughts and wildfires are happening across the world and unfortunately it’s not gonna get any better

On the surface. At 40-105ft in PCB water temp was high 60’s- low 70’s.

Majority of marine life isn’t on the damn surface.

It's only been doing this since the beginning of time. Kind of funny how humans think they can actually do something about it. We will always have warm periods and ice ages.

We’ve been in hurricane season for almost 3 months now.

You just like falling on your face don’t you?

droughts and wildfires

One can cause the other especially when you have the EPA telling you cleaning up underbrush that can start a fire is “environmentally damaging”

Welcome to every summer in the South. Is this really new for you?

I was over 7,000’ on the Palmer Divide! Any higher and we would have needed oxygen!

Those winds will be. Hurricanes are simply winds trying to cool off the ocean.

Seen that for years. Climate change is a real thing.

No you don't. Our house is at about 8000'. It's about 10-15 degrees cooler than the cities, and that includes during the winter. Pluses and minuses. Also, a wildfire could come through here and just wipe out the house in a bad year.

Climate change is a natural occurrence. Some of you need to read more about El Nino and La Nina cycles as well as coronal mass ejections (Like we have this summer), and historical climate shifts and quit believing in the government's excuses for grabbing power and money from people.

We had that the two years before we left—Waldo Canyon & Black Forest. We were in the grass, not the piney woods, so we felt safer, but we lost all the aspens in our yard from an early thaw & late frost. Great experience, glad we did it, but no regrets about leaving. The Sept.-April snows got old, even if the sun burned them off in a day or two!

I don't care what the government does. The damned Democrats are in control, so my expectations are extremely low

You were in the Northern Colorado Springs area? The wildfires can be unnerving, but so are tornadoes, and hurricanes. There is nowhere you can live that doesn't have some kind of issues

Even the paradise of Maui just had a large fire from Pacific storms.

Vermont floods. Hurricanes hit Nova Scotia now, tornadoes in Pennsyltucky. Just pick your poison, I guess. Southern Appalachians not so bad, weather-wise. Mild winters, milder summers, ‘canes spin out by the time they get here. No earthquakes. As long as you aren’t in a tornado alley or a floodplain, it’s livable.

Lol yeah every “once” in a while it’s cold in Denver.

My old company was in Tech Center and I’d go 10-12 times a year. The top 5 coldest I’ve been in my life were in Denver.

I wish every game I attended was a night game as God intended but how boring would it be to wake up on Saturday and not have football ready to go.
