Interested to know how that would be laughable. Proceed.
Because Bama is a better school and has a better campus. Nothing marginal about either of those.

So you admit you are just pulling shite out of your arse to try and troll me. Cool.
No, I alluded to not believing you, that you dont see it, but please continue to be quite hypocritical in the thread.

Oh it's not my story. I really don't want anybody to be a Pedo-backer, but you frickers were rampantly doing it when that story broke.
Good stuff. You should work on sharpening up your narrative, but this is a solid start to a nice short story.

How is Alabama's campus awful?

I think with the upgrades we have made to our campus over the years we've easily pulled away from Auburn in the category.
Auburn was clearly ahead before, so I'd disagree that Alabama's improvements have put them far in front.
I would concede that Alabama is far nicer of a campus now than it has been in recent decades.

And you guys wonder why we view ourselves differently.

It must suck that the rest of the country views you as a less successful version of Bama then. Must be a pretty big hit for your ego.
The problem is bammers measure success by winning on the football field. They hang their entire self worth on the achievements of 18-22 year olds. Most of the country does not view success in this manner and laugh at most bammer fans. Most are GED carrying rednecks that look down at anyone who has graduated from Auburn.

Is it fair for Auburn fans to view themselves as the opposite of "gumps"?
I see many Auburn fans looking down at Alabama fans. Opposing fans, is there really a difference between bammers and barners?
I don't really think you can make an analogy like that. You are all definitely Alabamians; you just root for different schools.
I have been to both campuses. Just generally speaking, Auburn fans are friendlier and more generous, fun-loving and accomodating.
Bama fans as a whole are friendly also, but some (not all, some) are incredibly arrogant and can't resist strutting around like they are somehow superior to everyone.
It's in their nature or something to see how vain and annoying they can be - just to get a rise out of you.
Perfect example: In 2009 I saw two adult males inside of a makeshift cage/tailgating spot, pulling a corndog on a string in front of us as we walked by.
I wanted to say "Duuude, WTF is WRONG with you, are you a child?" But instead, I managed a very trite - "Yeah, you people sure picked up on your deadly enemy's (Auburn) cut and paste of a Nebraska-Iowa nickname as having ANY relevance at all to LSU. You sure did go to a lot of trouble to look monumumentally STUPID."
But, to this day, why I generally have a disdain for some Bama fans (Again, SOME, not all) is when we were welcomed in 2005 and 2007, and even a few in 2009 and 11, with the most filthy, foul Katrina "jokes" one could imagine. I will never forgive them for that.
Had I made "jokes" about the tornadoes in 2011, I'm sure they would not have liked it either.

How does Bama being a better school and having a better campus have anything to do with the group of people who are AU and UA fans?
Youre really reaching here.

So being very close in ranking, with Auburn generally having consistently higher incoming class profiles and admissions numbers, wouldn't be marginal?
Doesn't make sense.

I love everyone. Hate is dumb.
I think those who carry hatred in the Iron Bowl are hurting the rivalry. The only reason I mentioned Columbus is due to the proximity to Auburn. Honestly, the closer you get to Auburn, the more easy the people are to deal with.
Auburn fans aren't as hardcore as Alabama fans, which isn't a bad thing because they don't get attitudes when discussing football. Most every conversation I've had with them since moving has been reasonable. That said, I've dealt with my share of sidewalkers. Which is my point: both sides have their shares.
