According to the 538 playoff predictor, they only have a 40% chance of making it over Cincinnati if Michigan, Ok State, Alabama, and Cincinnati all win. An unlikely scenario, but one that would make Georgia fans sweat it out. My gut says the committee would still put them in.

Lose to Bama and sweat. At that point who will they have beaten? Even Cincy would have a much better resume if they win out.

No losses..conference champ and a win over a Top Ten team.

Bama will be in , likely Michigan wins. They are in. Oklahoma State with a win over Baylor? Once beaten conference champion.

Enjoy NOLA Leghumpers.

According to tonight’s ranking, the #20, 22, and 23rd ranked teams

Cincy will have beaten… #6 and #21

Bama would have beaten #1, #8, and #22 (lost to #25)

Michigan will have beaten #7 and #13 (lost to #11)

Oklahoma St will have beaten #8 and #14 (lost to unranked Iowa St)

I think 40% Is too low for a normal game.

If Alabama beats them like 35-7 or something, sure it does (and should) become much more of a realistic possibility they miss out.

I don't see why UGA thinks they are in if they lose. Tell us all why you should be.

WHO have you beaten? WHY should you be in over teams that have the same record or better are conference champs and have better wins?

Assuming Bama beats UGA and all other top 5 teams win:
quote:

According to tonight’s ranking, UGA has beaten the #20, 22, and 23rd ranked teams (loss to #3)

Cincy will have beaten… #6 and #21

Bama would have beaten #1, #8, and #22 (lost to #25)

Michigan will have beaten #7 and #13 (lost to #11)

Oklahoma St will have beaten #8 and #14 (lost to unranked Iowa St)

Our loss would easily be the best loss of any team and we have 3 ranked wins compared to everyone else only having 2 (save Bama who would add a 3rd ranked win)

All those teams will have better wins. They will be Conference Champions. They will have the same or a better record.

I don't see how UGA can justify being picked over any of them with a loss.

Because you don’t want it to be justified. I told you exactly why UGA would have a case but you don’t want to see it

I didn’t even mention Margin of Victory which is absurd in our case

YOU don't want to see it. But with a loss you will see Bourbon Street.

Those teams all have wins vs a TOP TEN team. UGA? Nope.

They mostly also have wins against top 15 teams too.UGA? NOOOOOOO.

They will have won their conferences...UGA? No once again.

You better win.

Georgia can lose by 28 and still be in the Playoff, likely as the #4 depending on how others do. UGA has done enough to be in the CFP no matter what happens in Atlanta.

They'll have the best loss in the nation. Furthest they'll slip is to 2.
