Clue, it did not start in the BCS era and has nothing to do with national championships.

This is true. It started before the BCS back when Arkansas was a dominant program. That proves my point.

This is about the Southeastern Conference's concept of "Big-6". This has nothing to do with Georgia's success. Congrats to the geniuses, though. Eleven is impressive.

Big 6:

Alabama - 12 poll era national titles
Tennessee - 2 poll era national titles
Georgia - 1 poll era national title
Florida - 3 poll era national titles
LSU - 3 poll era national titles
Auburn - 2 poll era national titles

The above is who I rank 1-6 based on my opinion other than national championships.

Texas A&M is next in line at #7 because of their overall accomplishments when in the XII and SWC which includes an AP title in 1939.

Below are programs still seeking a first national title.

8. Mississippi
9. Arkansas
10. Missouri
11. South Carolina
12. Miss State
13. Kentucky
14. Vanderbilt

Big Six:

"Since 1964, any team not named Alabama, Auburn, Florida, Georgia, LSU, or Tennessee has emerged as the football champion of the Southeastern Conference."

Funny, I don't see Arkansas on that list.

Application: Denied

Why 1964? Why such a specific year? What is the SEC trying to hide? Why? Who are they protecting? What do they have to gain?

This doesn't involve you

Arkansas has a poll-era national title. It may not be a poll that you like, but it was the most accurate poll for that season. Even the NCAA agrees. Nice try.

You’ve been in the conference since 1992. A total of 26 seasons st the end of this year. You have zero sec championships. In that time UGA has 3, ties us with Auburn for 4th in the conference since then, behind LSU with 4 and ahead of UT with 2.

UGA has 13 overall (good for second all time).

You’ve managed to be less successful in the SEC than either Tulane or GT, and they were in the conference less time.

NCAA provides what every selector decided upon their champion. NCAA is simply a reference point.

Arkansas didn’t win AP or UPI. So, you still have ZERO.

When we boot Tennessee out, I promise Arkansas will be one of the top contenders to fill the spot.

I am baffled at how many people don't understand this.

I especially like the hogs' .393 bowl record and that they've spent one whole week atop the AP poll!

F that.

Winsipedia: Arky vs UGA

We’ll just keep it 5. Hell add A&M before Arky if we’re counting pre-big boy conference accomplishments...

Well, it could be that 8-2 winning record Georgia holds over the Piggies since they joined the SEC that ranks Georgia above Arkansas.
Or Georgia's 8 division titles over Arky's 4.
Or the 3 SEC championships won by Georgia since Arky came in the SEC versus the um, 0 SEC titles won by the Pigs.
Who knows?
