Is Fournette's 2015 season the most impressive for a SEC RB over the last decade?

Now, I understand he didn't win the Heisman. I understand the game against Alabama went less than well. But let's not be children for once (is that possible here? serious question btw) and dissect exactly what he accomplished that year.
Obviously everyone will look toward his 1,953 Rushing Yards, 22 Rushing TDs, 256 Receiving Yards, and 1 Receiving TD. But that isn't what I want to look at particularly; we'll touch on it though. Let us go deeper.
---
• Fournette touched the ball on 48.8% of LSU's snaps in 2015. For comparison, Ralph Webb touched it on 43.8% of Vandy's snaps in 2015, Derrick Henry touched it 43.1% in 2015 and Knowshon Moreno touched it 42.1% in 2008, the next three highest over the decade.
• He accounted for 42% of LSU's yards from scrimmage. This is the highest total among ALL SEC players in at least the last 12 years (as far back as I can go with this at the moment). It is the 4th highest total in P5 in those 12 years.
• His 1,953 is second in SEC history behind only Derrick Henry who played in 15 games compared to Fournette's 12. His 162.8 Rush YPG is 2nd only to Herschel Walker's 171.9.
---
Now, I know everyone is going to try to say "he did all of this against terrible teams." Well, lets filter out those terrible teams and only include teams that finished the season ranked in the AP Top 25 and see what we get.
• He played against 4 such teams. Averaged 139.5 yards from scrimmage per game. This is the 6th best mark in the SEC over the last decade and that includes his 31 yard performance against the 6th best run defense OVER THE LAST DECADE.
• On top of everything else, he faced 8 defenders or more in the box on 39% of his carries that year. Henry faced 8+ defenders on 30% of his carries in 2015.
As an individual player on a team that couldn't buy a pass completion from Harris, this season stands out to me. I'll prepare the flame shield and ready myself for the childish antics that are sure to occur.

I will take McFadden. They both had the same problem, which was not having QB, so Dmac did that too.
He is a bit outside of the last decade, but not by much.

Syracuse
Eastern Michigan
Western Kentucky
A&M
Texas Tech
Majority of his yards came in only 5 games against bad run defenses.
Henry got low touches in non-conference games and showed up in big games.

Selective reading is fun.

Now rank them by run defense.

frick no.. he ran over weak teams until he met Bama.. then shite got real

You’re more than welcome to do it yourself. I did my part.
If you could, compare and contrast other RBs as well so we can all get a better understanding how running backs stack up against top 15 run defenses.

In honor of this thread, my favorite Fournette Gifs:

It is beyond belief that LSU didn't win shite with an elite defense + leonard fournette.
Les should have been more creative with LF. Involved him more in passing game, for example. How often was he utilized in that manner? Not very often.

Yeah this is pretty standard. Nothing will change

That third one is not LF7!

I don't see the point of ranking things based on top 25. He just plays against the defense. Why does it matter how the whole team finishes? He's not playing both ways
Running backs should be compared on the defenses they face

Then do the numbers if you’re curious. But compare other RBs as well so your findings don’t seem misleading. Good luck.

Whoops! I honestly just included it because I love seeing Ole Miss defenders getting thrown around like that haha.

You did an excellent job making your case. He is the best back not named Dalvin Cook I’ve seen Florida face in a long time. He ran all over us in 2015, and that 2015 UF defense was the real deal.

Not when you consider that half the rush defenses he played were shite tier. Hell, he got to play against the bottom TWO rush defenses in Texas Tech and Eastern Michigan
How many RBs over the last decade got that huge advantage
As usual for the OP thread is shite

Idk. There was this one back who was in the same division, the same year, and outperformed him. He even some some award. I forget what it’s called.

An absolutely compelling argument with extremely in-depth stats to back it up. Well done. And the post before it as well.

Member when LSU fans told us all that mattered was SEC stats regarding Garrett?
Yet almost half of Fournette's yards (43%) came in 4 non-conference games against awful run defenses. And some of them still wonder why he didnt get invited to the Heisman ceremony

Don't know how easy this wold be for you, but I wonder what Chubb's numbers were from the MIzzou game onward in 2014 in terms of UGA's offense. I'm guessing they were pretty high as well in 2015 up to the injury.
