I've been saying this all year. Fitzgerald is simply too limited to beat good defenses.
A lot of State fans have jumped to Fitzgerald's defense saying Thompson is just as bad as a passer. I don't buy that, and I doubt they even still believe that.
I couldn't believe Fitzgerald came back in last night. And sure enough, he threw a pick on the very first play after he got back in.
State has an amazing defense, definitely the best we've played so far this year, and its being absolutely wasted because the offense can't complete a forward pass.
I'd be pretty upset if I was a State fan.

I'm not sold that Thompson is going to solve all of our offensive problems. But you have been 100% correct in saying Moorhead should've put him in the 4q of the Florida game and rode with him.

The thing is, everyone has seen Fitz's ceiling when it comes to him throwing the ball. It's idiotic to keep him in there. Move him to a TE or as a RB.

I'm worried now, that since JoMo has readjusted the offense to better fit Fitzgerald's limitations that it's too late to go back.
And depending on how legit you think A&M's run defense is, Fitzgerald might actually give you the best chance to win the rest of your games (except Alabama, obviously).
I legit feel bad for you, because this is one of your most talented teams, ever and this is turning into a lost season.

I don’t think your season is lost. You’re coach is just an idiot and who can’t gameplan accordingly.
You don’t run 80% RPO’s when the defense knows it’s coming. QB can’t throw, the box will be stacked, and your wr’s aren’t good enough to beat LSU’s db’s 1 on 1. Aranda was feasting on the idea of Fitz having to throw the ball.

Does not matter,i think our team has packed up for the year. Defense is all we got and i think they have had enough of moorhead and fitz shitting the bed.
