The Hurry Up offense is a gimmick to gain an advantage no different than "faking" would be a gimmick to level the playing field.
And as soon as the NCAA/NFL start threatening penalties for using the hurry up, you'll have a point to make here.
As it stands, the governing bodies that oversee the highest levels of football competition disagree with you.

Faking injuries is just as legal as the no huddle offense.

I respect Muschamp for not denying it....Miles on the other hand....biggest d-bag out there!
Only coach I know lose a 28 point lead then get a promotion and raise

This whole thread is dumb. 99% of players wouldn't fake injuries that's cheap and classless.

The NCAA rulebook actively discourages it and the NCAA has already threatened to take the NFL route and punish teams/players/coaches who practice it.
No such action has ever been taken against the no huddle. Faking injuries is bush-league.

Show me where there is a rule in place that guards against a player faking an injury?
You're treating it like it's some soccer pussy faking out absolutley no one to try to draw a penalty.
If a player "fakes" an injury, they have to come off the field. Does it slow down the game? Sure, but it's not as if it's a costless venture. As the gif above shows, both players faked it, so both players have to sub out.
It's just as legal as the hurry up. I see no problem here.

I doubt Faking is legal. I just doubt they say it. If it was legal to fake it - it would be like a TO, no need to fall down just signal the ref. "hey ref blow a fake penalty substitution." Cool.
It is done - but it is pussy. Period. Like Soccer and NBA flopping.
BTW how is hurry up gimmick? Most all teams go into hurry up at some point - some just started doing it earlier years ago when they were down.
Its no more a gimmick than the forward pass was at one point or the option.
Some of you guys just spew shite. You have no clue. Amazing.
Finding a way to win with less talent is brilliant - faking an injury in not legal. Its cheating. Amazing how the two are viewed.

So is mindlessly accusing players of faking them.

Mid-major cheating tactics have no place in the SEC. Funny how Bama never had a problem with cramping against our offense.
Except for losing to y'all and LSU beating A&M. You might be the dumbest cocksucker on this board

The NCAA rulebook also discourages shopping your son around to different schools, but its not enforced. Neither is this petty argument.

If I had a nickel for every time the NCAA had "threatened" to do something

To a team that lives and dies by the hurry up

If the trainers have to come help a player off the field, that player should not be allowed to come back in at any point for the remainder of that series. That would force coaches to either play the game as it was intended, lose good players for extended periods or put scrubs out there and risk them getting beat just for the chance to fake an injury.
Either that, or start actively punishing coaches and teams that do it.

fwiw to be fair to soccer they've gotten rid of flopping.

Adam - I agree completely - that is why I said I hate when fans boo. Because you don't know. And respect for the athlete should come first.
