From a personality standpoint you can't help but love Mark Right and Coach O. And you know they are good for 9 or 10 wins a year and an occasional big time bowl. However, you also know that they will never compete for championships, and you know that your program will never reach its full potential with them at the helm. But these type of coaches have a way of sticking around longer than they should simply because you like them so much, and their records aren't THAT bad.

Are you even old enough to remember Mark Richt being hired? He was the hot shot young coaching star of 2001. Literally nothing like Orgeron’s career path.

Oh boy....this is sure to be at least a 5 page shitfest, likely going to be 10-15.

Richt won multiple championships. Orgeron will never come close.

Piggie fans haven’t sniffed being a legitimate contender in over 20 years and they want to criticize Coach O...I’ll take you seriously next time you finish in the top half of your division. I’ll be waiting a while.

Are you old enough to remember Mark Richt's record against Florida? Against South Carolina when Spurrier was there? The guy was good for at least 2 meltdowns a year.

Doesn't mean it's not true. Good for you though, sticking up for Ed.

Nope, they are totally different people. One led the bulldogs greatly, one sounds like a bulldog.

You'd only have to look back a few seasons. You seem dense though, so it's okay.

It's a lot of revisionist history I'm noticing about Mark Richt's tenure in the SEC. Richt was very successful at UGA whereas Coach O bombed at Ole Miss. And, Richt has now turned around Miami. Richt is a top 10 coach easily.

Mark Richt is single handedly responsible for spikegate 2012. Otherwise we would have won the natty in 2012.

you Georgia fans sure have shown up here now that you FINALLY have a good team. good on you. but don't count Orgeron out yet bud. he's doing the right things to bring LSU back.

I believe we play you next year in Baton Rouge. if we win, do you have the balls to come on here and aver that you were wrong?

it is Georgia that is the newbie to the NC hunt, not LSU.
