Is Clemson still valuable to the SEC/B1G?

Clemson’s not in a major market or even near one. The only thing they had going for them is how consistently good they were, regularly making the playoffs. That, and the culture/traditions are decent (except the bus ride to the rock entrance which is weird). That said, will they still be able to get into the SEC or B1G? Or will they be forced to go to the Big 12?
I know they can’t stay in the ACC because the SEC/B1G is waiting until their media rights deal is near to raid that conference—only if Clemson stayed relevant for just a few more years…

No. Other than football they aren’t really that great of a school academically
Not a huge endowment either. That’s why UNC, Duke and Miami are always mentioned ahead of them. I’d rather Florida State too.

Dabo is cooked.
No way he makes it through the season.

There was a time they were solid in the big three each year. Would make bowls, NCAA tournament, and runs in Baseball. I think with the changes in conference landscape it’s hurting their value. They waited too late to make a move and now are stuck. They have a good fanbase and traditions but with Dabo hanging them out to dry and the other sports lacking consistency they shite the bed on the timing.
