I like the pod breakdown in a potential 20-team SEC. It keeps the 10 oldest SEC schools together in two pods and all expansion schools in the other two.
Who would a school play when their permanent opponent is in the 5 team pod they are scheduled to play that season? Giving each school two semi-permanent opponents would allow that 10th conference game to be filled every season. In a four-year period, you will have played both semi-permanents twice.

Thanks, I overlooked that. It looks like a great pod system and scheduling plan for what will be an inevitable expansion outcome.

The 10 game schedule prevents that unbalanced # conf. games issue.
However, I'm sticking with my problem that Ga. (GT) & Kent. (Loiusville) only has 1 slot for anybody while the rest have 2.
Only way around that is those 2 come to the SEC...but I HIGHLY DOUBT GT will ever get that chance (unsure of Louisville).

Yes, Georgia is pretty much the entire problem with 99% of all schedules.
They want Florida as a game every year, they want Auburn as a game every year, they only want 8 conference games because they also want Georgia Tech out of conference and they want to be able to have 7-8 games at home.
I don’t care either way, but they are the reason for most of the scheduling problems. Others may have 1 of those issues also.. but no one else has all of those issues.

What time was the announcement. I must have missed it...

Auburn - Deep South's Oldest Rivalry
Florida - World's Largest Outdoor Cocktail Party
GT - Clean Old Fashioned Hate
The SEC knows the 1st 2 won't be given up nor made as non-conf. games.
The people of Ga. won't give up the 3rd.
As to WLOCP, I want it to be on campus.
I don't know about 8, but I know 7 H games are pretty common.
That's why I (personally) see the trouble being a Dawg fan: expansion is inevitable, but (currently) there are 4 Eastern teams with ACC in-state rivals.
As to Kent., I don't know their # H game stance.

Why would we need either of them? We already have both states.

TV ratings, advertising revenue, I hate them both but either Clem or F$U vs. the majority of the SEC are very compelling matchups and are going to create huge national tv numbers.

So I take it that this was fake news? I didn't see anything anywhere about them joining.
