Yea. We were told by your fans once you make one final four you're instantly a basketball blue blood.

Api has had 3 straight losing seasons in football. 4 straight seasons with 7 or fewer wins. Hasn't won a bowl game since 2019. Hasn't made it past the 2nd round of the ncaa tournament in 3 years.

Still an everything school? Impressive I guess.

I don’t give a shite. Basketball bores the ever living shite out of me. I enjoyed telling Tuscaloosa to rot in hell after we beat bama, but that’s because he’s one of the biggest pricks on Tiger Droppings.

And yet you are here melting about basketball

They’ve suddenly become very passionate about basketball. It’s like they’re bandwagon fans or something.

Sounds familiar...

Though Bama has some semblance history in SEC hoops

Ok. You can see Alabama's average home attendance for each year here and you can see Auburn's attendance since they moved to Neville here.

In terms of team performance, the Oats-Pearl statistical comparison has been made many times, so I'll give you a different perspective.

The NCAA tournament expanded to 32 teams in 1975. In the 49 years since, Auburn and Alabama have both had seven permanent head coaches.

Three of Auburn's head coaches led them to at least one NCAA tournament appearance. All seven of Alabama's have done so.

Alabama isn't Kentucky, or even Arkansas but their history of basketball success is significantly better than Auburn's.

Auburn has 13 NCAA tournament appearances in their entire 120 year history, and Bruce Pearl is responsible for 5 (38%) of those.

Bama is one short of doubling that number.

But I’m sure you already knew that.
