Is Bama/LSU a rivalry? It's taken me some time... but I now say yes.

Before I came to this site at the end of 2008 (honestly) I had no ill feelings towards LSU. But over the last 12 years I believe you have earned rival status, imo.

So welcome to the Bama rival group... you can take your seat along with the Barners and VOLLLLLLL...Ls.

So, let's update the stats.

Bama vs Vols (W/L/T) - 58-37-8

Bama vs Barners (W/L/T) - 47-37-1

At this point we sit at 105-74-9

Split the ties (only seems fair)... and we are at 109.5 in 188 games... so a 58% win percentage against rivals.

Now add in LSU...

Bama vs LSU (W/L/T) - 54-26-5

Yet again... split the ties... and we are at 166 wins vs 273 total games.... so a 61% win percentage against our rivals.

Thanks for the bump... and welcome to da club.

Just because you have been infatuated with someone for years doesnt mean they knew you existed.

I think it's a rivalry to people who post on this board, but to the majority of fans, not really

LSU doesn't have rivals.

We just prefer to beat:

--Tier 1--
Alabama
Auburn
Florida

--Tier 2--
Ole Miss
Tennessee
Georgia
Paying head coaches 19mm to leave

--Tier 3--
Lil 8 minus OM
Paying coordinators 4MM to leave

I do wonder after Saban is gone and we have both endured inevitable down periods if it will tail off like UT UF. I tend to think it will still be a big game for both teams even when it is not a Big Game.

Any one with an ounce of intelligence can read this board for one day and realize that Bama considers LSU a rival. For frick's sake, your posters were creating threads about LSU during the Tennessee football game, the SECCG, the CFP semifinal and National Championship game. There was as much talk from Bama posters Monday night about LSU as there was about Bama winning a national championship.

Their own alumni on national TV couldn’t help but talk LSU during the broadcast

You are only taking this site into consideration.

Most of my friends dont give two shits about LSU or even know an LSU fan IRL.

ETA: I realize this may be different for you all.. as BAMA fans can be found easily in the Southeast

That’s if we can keep it going. Another year of the shite we had this season and I’ll gladly surrender the honor

21-0 ruined us? A team that y'all have ruined is Tennessee not LSU. LSU is one year removed from a national championship. I would say LSU is far from "ruined". Keep living in your fantasy world though.

Biggest bullshite answer I have read on this board! I visit Birmingham all the time for work and when I wear my LSU tie or hat I can’t tell you the number of Roll Tides I hear not to mention the number of people who tell me every year that only two games a year scare them and one is LSU every time. I have a ton of Alabama Alum friends and co-workers and they all admit LSU is a rival

Everyone knows we are always potentially dangerous and just continuously underachieve. But the potential is always there. Maybe not this year though.
