These same players beat Bama and Saban two out of the last 4 years. How does that happen?

I think 2017 was a “legit” win because at least they kinda exposed Hurts and gave Smart the blueprint that got him benched in the CFPCG. Alabama had an injury bug in 2017 but nothing like 2019. In 2019, QB was playing like his 4th or 5th start and first real road game…half the projected starting defense before the season was out (at some positions they were playing the backup of the backup I believe).Gotta play with the guys you got. So it what it is.

I think there is a reason Alabama was happy Scott Cochran wanted to be an on-field coach. There was a feeling among some close to the program that the S&C approach was not doing a good enough job at mitigating ligament injuries. Additionally, players were losing recovery/endurance more significantly than teams like Auburn, Clemson, and others Alabama plays at the backend of the season. Clemson just looked like the fresher team in 2018 and Alabama was basically a MASH unit in 2019.

2020…Alabama basically just had two freak injuries to Waddle and Dickerson but they happened in games not practice or off-season conditioing.

Thank god. Or maybe we should’ve kept him with him developing so much NFL talent?

Did you watch AUs S&C? I still say that is what got Gus fired.

Also, I feel like Auburn was a pretty young team this year and their best prospects for this draft are two junior wide receivers who should not have declared this year.

So yeah, they probably should even end up doing worse in this draft but this is the worst situation because two valuable talents left and go 3rd round or worse.

Probably a pretty damning indictment on Bo Nix. Neither Schwartz nor Williams reckoned playing another year with Nix in a new offense would do a damn thing for them.

I can’t say I do and you probably have some justified gripes but I couldn’t say.

From the Alabama perspective, the last half decade w/ Scott Cochran were teams that had too many off-season injuries when people are just doing shorts and shirt shite or weight room. They also had a lot of ligament injuries. Team always seemed to lose explosiveness over the course of the season.

New S&C regime and all the sudden Alabama got more explosive over the course of the season. Went from no pass rush to a very good one by the end of the year when that tended to go in reverse. Receivers and backs were arguably more explosive late too.

I don’t disagree with you. You would hope that bringing in a new coach might mean more passing, but that will all depend on if Nix can improve under a couple of solid QB coaches.

How come it took Auburn a long time to notice anything that comes from Gus? That is on Auburn.

Because he would save his job by having a good year with hope of having a consistent program. He played in three Big 6 Bowl Games in his 7 years. He just couldn’t take advantage of any success.

Both WR made that decision before the season started.

Nah, MSU did it the week before, we just got lucky and won anyway. He should have been benched after that game.

Not these AU players in the Draft. , you dumbass. Remember you only have to wear a mask , not a an entire hood. It is blocking O2 to the brain.
