Depends on the situation, but in general, no. Texas has more $, better facilities and better in state recruits for football. It's a step up.

I'd say it's a step up. Nothing wrong with that. Texas is a step up for lots of programs.

Oh and malzahns highschool gimmick offense will never work in the big 12 (see its new because i changed sec to big 12).

Step up. Texas is a top 5 program. AU is 11-15. There really isn't any argument.

It is, but it is a step up from 95% of college football.

Texas is a step up from every job. USC would have been close before they got smacked by the NCAA. Florida is close too because of the recruiting.

Mack Brown had no problem luring away DC's Chizik and Muschamp from the Tuberville staff.

It's more of a forward lateral that the refs only catch half the time......Tejas > Auburn (a majority of the time? Enough to make a lateral move to? probably not as true as it used to be

If Auburn is a top 10 job then rank the top 10 jobs in college football.

Ehhh

UT
Ohio State
USC
Miami-just off of reputation for recruiting, tradition and location. fan support blows
LSU
Alabama
Florida
Oklahoma
Michigan
Penn State

Nebraska, FSU, and Tennessee all have cases

Who does Auburn replace there? If anybody, Miami..only because of fan support.

oh, and that top-10 is in no order.

Still not sure it makes sense for Gus. I think making the move now sets him back a year or two to getting the HC offer that he wants. Maybe not. I wouldn't be completely shocked if he went to Tx for an OC position, but my guess is his next move will be for an HC position.

If TX and AU both needed a OC and were both going after Gus at Tulsa or elsewhere, TX wins 99 times out of 100 (at least).
