To have a head basketball coach and head football coach with show causes coaching at the same time?

It is rare that a coach who has received a show cause penalty gets hired at a P4 program. But to have two at the same time coaching the two biggest sports? Is Auburn the only one?

if it wasn't for Pearls "show cause" I don't think he would have ever ended up at Auburn and chances are that the basketball program would still be a dumpster fire (as it was pre-Pearl for many years). So from a Gamble standpoint it has paid off big time for Auburn..

Now Freeze. on the other hand...

Your obsession with Auburn has been noted by literally every other fanbase in the SEC.

Yes and Alabama’s baseball coach received the longest show cause in NCAA history of 15 years.

At least he has a job at Auburn to look forward to.

Saban wanted to hire Freeze post showcause. He also kicked the tires on hiring Jeremy Pruitt.

Facts of the day.

Give me a show clause coach over a man who shrugs off a murder any day.

Your baseball coach needed a walkoff to avoid getting swept by Auburn, and shortly after the fanbase bragged about not getting swept by Auburn.

In reality, Auburn hiring Pearl also probably had a very considerable impact on the SEC's rejuvenated commitment to basketball.
